Death Note: A New Light is a passion project (fan manga/doujinshi) based on Death Note! It's about an alternative universe (AU) where someone else, Kiyumi, ends up picking up the death note instead of Light

While the story is heavily based on the original Death Note plotline, I've made a point to make many changes to put my own spin on it and explore other events :D

This is an independent project run by only me! I go by Star / Ichi and you can find my main blog here @stxrichi I do everything from the story writing to the art

What form will this project take?

Death Note: A New Light will be a fan manga. It is not out just yet but you'll be able to read it here and on Tapas! Chapters will be uploaded bi-monthly

Is this project OC only based?

Nope! While the main character is an OC, Kiyumi, most characters are the canon characters like the task force, L, and even Light. They are still very present and important to the story!
