It wasn’t like Daehyun expected Kevin to understand him; not a lot of people did and he was fine with that, actually. Daehyun couldn’t think of a way to explain himself even if he were given the chance to. He supposed seeing Kevin’s bright smiling features should already be enough for him - even though this wasn’t his Kevin, no, but Daehyun was fine with just seeing the face of the man he loved well and healthy. People were different in this dimension, they weren’t the people he knew back at home. It left him wearing the same sheet of cold that had grown on him since the early days, back when he attended the academy. He wondered when his broken heart would heal; when it would turn back to its frozen state, when hurt took a nonexistent role in his life. 

"Something like that…" he managed out, eyes darting to the ground between them. As much as he longed to watch Kevin with his hurt-filled eyes, Daehyun didn’t think he could manage. "I’ll pay for the cake, I’m sorry for eating it."

Though Kevin might've not understood why there was pain being reflected in the other's eyes (it certainly raised enough brows because Daehyun and pain could only ever cross when cheesecake was involved - in this case, lack of) he knew enough that the eaten cake should be the least of his problems right now. He observed the younger through confusion filled eyes, mind swarming with questions as to why the man was feeling so down. He supposed work could've taken a toll on Daehyun just like it had done him in on a few occasions but there was just something else that bugged him. It couldn't just be work, right? Maybe it was something personal? 

Kevin wouldn't pry, though, he knew better than that but he'd be lying if he said he wasn't interested. It took a lot to upset the cheesecake fanatic, Daehyun was a pretty happy fellow most of the time, so yes, it was only natural the situation struck Kevin's curiosity. He pursed his lips, and nodded. 

"No, no, it's fine; don't worry about it. I hope you feel better, though! I have a night schedule so I'll have to catch you later," he remarked while taking note of the lack of eye contact. Maybe he was making Daehyun feel uncomfortable? Then again, he was only seconds away from strangling the poor fellow just a mere moment ago - most would feel intimidated. "Dae-yah~ cheer up, okay? Fighting!"

And Kevin was gone just like that with a wave and a smile.

"Kevin…" Even though this wasn’t his Kevin, seeing the all-too-familiar face nearly brought Daehyun to tears. He had to fight his conscience from wrapping his arms around the elder; supposedly his will managed to pull him back from embarrassing himself. This wasn’t his Kevin, not from his era, not from his universe, not from his world, the world that resolved around the single man he loved. This was another Kevin, this was the reincarnation of the Kevin he loved, the same Kevin he still loves, dearly. The same Kevin who had left him in shambles of his broken heart. Daehyun smiled but his heart ached. Seeing the face he adored so much hurt him, especially knowing he could never hold the same man in his arms again. "I’m sorry, it was tempting… You know me…"

"Yah, I got that for my brother!" Somehow he knew this was going to happen yet he still left the box of cutely decorated cake in the shape of Hello Kitty's head in the middle of the common room. Honestly, that was literally mistake number one. Though he had to admit, while Daehyun smiled and laughed a lot, this one didn't seem very genuine. Rather than continue his streak of anger towards the younger, Kevin subdued and tilted his head. "Never mind, I'll just get him another; by the way, why do you look so down? Rough day at work?"

So what Kevin was saying basically, was that Byunghun wasn’t allowed to sex up his adorable boyfriend—cough. Well, if he had to be fairly honest, even to himself, Byunghun would’ve been totally fine if he got to make out with Chanhee, and hell, that would’ve been a godsent gift. He couldn’t even begin to imagine doing anything else with his boyfriend, especially now that the overprotective and murderous elder brother was on his hind for possibly murder if he tried anything.

"Um… If it makes you feel any better, I wasn’t actually going to do anything anyway—"

"Excuse me?" That actually hit a nerve more than anything else; was Byunghun trying to make a statement here? Something along the lines of his cute brother not being good enough for him? Because he wasn't worthy enough to be a potential lover in that sense? Probably not, but Kevin's mind worked a little different from the average person; he took it the wrong way, more wrong than anyone would've ever even consider thinking. "Are you saying my brother's not good enough for you? Do you want to die?"

Hello! These are the things I’ve learned from UKISS on 2013.

This year, UKISS went through many hardships but also many beautiful things. Let’s hope 2014 turns out even better than 2013 to UKISS! And may this year grant all of their wishes. 

This year, UKISS also lost another member of their family, but no matter how far that member might be, he will always be one of our beloved UKISS members. He did what he wished and the group respected his decision, and that’s… That’s a true act of friendship and brotherhood.

Enough of sad things! 2013 caused lots of laughter and tears to us, Kissmes. To remember that, here’s some highlights of the year:
