Most likely two parts cause I'm gonna rant my ass off!
So, little background: before I even watched Avengers Civil War, I was already on Team Ironman. (Forget the fact that Ironman is my favourite, but I read a lot about the movie before hand and the arguments for Team Ironman was convincing enough.) So, anyway, me and my mum was getting ready to watch it when my sister calls and she and my brother in law tell us that if we're not Team Ironman, don't bother calling them back.
I was like, yes! Team Ironman all the way!
Skip forward to a week ago, we re-watch the film. My mum is starting to think Team Cap was right. I'm adamant that I'm staying on Team Ironman but I can feel myself slipping sides the more I watch. Bare in mind that I'm having a mini crisis because I don't wanna switch, dammit, I'm loyal!
The deciding factor? Bucky!
His history has to be the most saddest story in the MCU. A war hero, kidnapped and enslaved, tortured so badly for 20 odd years that his mind was wiped out, brainwashed and used, his body and mind no longer his to control! BUT he managed to once again gain control of himself, which is damn well impressive!
So I'm sitting there, thinking, Tony is one hundred percent right in what he says! They need to be accounted for; they can't just show up, reck the place, then fly off again. I get it, they're saving the world, but that doesn't mean jack to the families that lose people.
So I'm sitting there, going crazy because TEAM IRONMAN, People, come on! BUT! If I was in Steve's position regarding Bucky, I'd do the same thing.
So I get into a conversation with my brother in law about this, hoping he'd be able to sway my decision back to Ironman...you wanna know what he said to me?
"I don't care if you're Team Ironman or Team Cap, just as long as you're not Team Bucky."
The reason he's on Team Ironman? Bucky killed Tonys parents, so Tony was within his rights to kill Bucky and Steve was an ass for stopping him.
Thats right. You read that correctly!
This is now a heated debate! Like, seriously! Bucky cannot be blamed! So I said to him..."if your computer gets a virus; do you blame the computer or the person that put it there?"
Very logical, in my opinion, because Buckys mind had become a brand new computer that Hydra programmed to their will.
His response? "If that computer killed your parents, wouldn't you smash it up?"
I'm jumping off the walls at this point because what kind of argument was that?!
Ten minutes or so go by and I turn to my sister and go "what the hell??"
To which she replies, "There's no point arguing with him. He thinks Thanos is a good guy."
Thats round about the time I threw my hands up and realised I just spent god knows how long arguing with a complete douche!
So as of right now, I am no longer know that Team I'm on, apart from Buckys; the only true innocent victim in this!
