Allow me to introduce you to...
"Being dead doesn't save you from being in debt~"
How does an angel go about disposing the body of their own God? Who is he willing to trust to cover up this heavenly atrocity?
God is dead, struck down by its own prodigy. In desperation, Sidre calls upon a last resort; summoning a demon. The ever-smiling Eion answers his call. Sidre's predicament could be the career breakthrough Eion has been working towards their entire life. Eager to reap the soul of this angel, a contract is signed and a deal is struck.
Unknown to them, forces deeper in the Thereafter are stirred up by a sudden disappearance of a very important figure. The governing Pillars are hell bent on finding the perpetrators of this disturbance. Tensions are rising. Dark secrets begin to surface. A centuries old coup finally has an opening.
One reluctant companionship may just be the key to saving this matter of life and death.
Join this contractually obligated duo as they tear their way through Thereafter, tackling the unending consequences of a well meaning angel's desperate actions.
Meet your morally grey protagonists:
Sidre - A selfless and caring, highly strung, professional worrier who's hands carried out the viscous act of killing his own God; Life itself. He has his reasons, but the act alone was enough to send the poor angel spiralling.
Now he must navigate his feelings of guilt and an existential crisis, while trying to understand his new companion and the upside down dimension of Thereafter. He'll try to make the best of it, eventually growing fond of Eion (as much as he hates to admit it). He's determined to reclaim his soul, but maybe it's not so bad that Eion is the one to have a hold of it…
Eion - Flamboyant, charismatic and unapologetically themselves, Eion is in the business of wish granting and debt collecting. Snagging the soul of an angel is just the break they need in their career.
Between trying to maintain their day job and harbouring a fugitive, they have to navigate their new companionship and the consequences of messing with heavenly matters much larger than themselves. So long as they get to keep Sidre wrapped around their finger, they don't mind stirring up a whole lot of trouble...

If you made it this far...
Hi, I'm Budder, the possibly-several-entities in a conspicuous trench coat, behind the screen putting this all together.
I'm an Australian artist, been doing this whole art thing for 14 years. I'm mainly a digital artist, but I do dabble in tons of other mediums (writing, game dev, animation, comics of course). I'm very passionate about character design. I love animation, comics, manga and anime. I love horror, especially in video game form. Huuuge fan of the colour green. I'm hoping all my years of being a chronically online internet nerd will get this comic going.
It's been a dream of mine since I was little to create my very own comic! Many attempts were made, but nothing really stuck. In the past few years, I've played around with some ideas but never got anywhere with them.. until now.
Apparently all it took was for me to clean out my files one day and find a short story I wrote a few years ago. It was super rough, had no ending and the characters were hastily made. It was a writing exercise, nothing more. Something kept nagging me to read it again, which lead me down a rabbit hole of designing a whole cast of characters and churning out world building. I had never been so inspired in my life!
I want to do right by young me and make this comic happen. Oh boy do I have a story to tell and I can't wait to share it^^
Thank you for taking the time to peek at this, it's very much appreciated <3
