ik it's been two years or maybe more, but this game was literally so good. like everything- was exactly what i wanted. the state of games made specifically for girls is so bad and like i'm so incoherent rn but helix waltz was made with such special detail and care and yeah there were def faults with translation but it was so unique and it didn't feel like a random cash grab

Damn… I miss this game so much, I want of back from the dead. I miss how there is lore in the info you collect. I miss having to dress up and work as a maid undercover to earn coins AND collect information. I miss having to move my finger across the screen to connect the dots in the right order to create the symbol so Magda doesn’t mess up in dancing. It was beautiful.

subjectively helix waltz was the most interesting game i've ever played (including genshin impact) and i will die on this hill. the lore, the character design (personally i wasn't into juven sakan but my god gaelan bavlenka had my 13 year old heart), the mini like box game about like ancient china? like stop. i really regret not playing it more bc i don't think it will come back and that just breaks my heart.

it was the stigma towards dress up games and just like i think the stigmatisation of overtly feminine things in general that in some way contributed to helix waltz never really getting anything in the way of popularity- but also it was obvs translation issues and lack of marketing.
