She wouldn't say it's an ed, and she would fight you if you have the nerve to say anything about her appearance at any moment in time. However, she's always internally struggling and she thinks she's a shell of who she was. It's her way of dealing with her success and what she's been through/seen, I see her being like "I wanna see how you'd be coping if you had lived my life and had the career I did", like shutting everyone up because even if you think you know her for her relationships, you really don't because that's all she wants you (us) to see.

As to why nobody says a thing it's pretty simple, Ariana is good at icing people out, she's good at getting angry and making you beg for a chance back to be close to her. She's also their source of experiences, I don't see this as money, it's not like she directly helps her friends financially or with opportunities, but her friends & family will benefit from the little things like the rides, flights, vacations, dining occasions and it would be dumb to say that's only why they like her because I do see them having fun with her and sharing actual bonds, but they've grown accustomed to not going against her because it's felt heavily when she's annoyed.

I think Ariana sees him as someone who will always give her what she wants which is why she has gone back before and is back with him, but in a way, I see them not really connecting as before because they're in different phases. So, even if he's acting the same way as before, it's no longer what she's looking for. Ricky loooves hanging out with her but more than a real romantic connection, it's a friends with benefits type of connection that he likes because there are not many rules he has to follow.
Well...it is indeed a fling. I don't see this lasting but I also don't see this helping either of them because she's not really making this decision with the best intention, this is purely what Ricky is for her: a rebound. She's also not in the greatest state of mind at the moment and everything, even if not meant to annoy her or as a diss, she will take as a direct attack and cut you off. It also tells that she's not really that conscious of her life, decisions, etc., even when she knows how to solve those issues because she knows where she's lacking, what hurts her, who's hurting her and how to halt that hurt.
It's just for people to stop talking about her insecurities and get them focused on something else that she can control, but this marks a phase in her life where she's gonna feel absolutely vulnerable and like she can't hide from the public. Either it's gonna be projects, promotions, whatever it is, maybe even her personal life, will be more public than ever and she'll have to deal with it because she won't be able to shut every single person up.

They took so long to come out...bottom line, her insecurities. That's it. It what she knows. It's a bandaid to a broken ankle she puts on even if she knows that's not what she needs because it's so much easier to do that than face the burden of going to the doctor and stop every activity for x number of weeks. She doesn't wanna be faced with the root of her pain because she's been there and it was really difficult, so much that she has to be fully well in every area of her life to even try stopping the cycle.

Mmm...believe it or not, she thinks every era of hers is a testament of her personal life and her inside world. In a way she also thinks it's expected from her and if she stayed too long in one aesthetic she wouldn't be as successful, because she sees her aesthetics directly impacting her money.

She loves certain aspects of every aesthetic and she holds them close to her heart because at the end of the day, they were her and reflected her honestly but this girl even if she weren't a singer, would change the vibe every so often as she thinks the best way to close a chapter is by also radically changing the visuals and experimenting. Idk does she have Gemini in her chart? Or a mutable sign, it's like of course she will always like musical theatre but that is only going to be her personality as long as she benefits from it because I don't think she will always stay doing plays and musicals, she will outgrow them and move on to her next fixation, which could very well be something she's already hinted at like horror or comedy and then you'll see a different aesthetic. She's also not giving much of why but more so what she thinks and how she perceives it. I bet you this woman doesn't talk about her trauma or any difficulties in private, she doesn't share vulnerabilities that often.
