Friends on Good times

There are times when you think you’ve found a good friend that stays with you through think and thin, better or worst, good times and bad. A friend that you can lean on during the hard times and someone who will listen to you on your rants about the trials that you are experiencing in life.

But hey! I got this friend whom I really treated as my good old friend.

We used to hang-out a lot for the past weeks. She calls me every time she is alone. She texts me to come over to where she might be spending her ‘all-alone’ time. I never get tired of listening to her problems, specially to her ugly love life. I used to drop-off important schedule just to be with her, and attend to her needs and rants in life.

I can say that I have been a very good friend to her.

Days and weeks have passed I encountered a lot of problems. Yes, a listener like me also have problems. I was so stressed out and I need someone to talk to and someone who can listen to me. 

Where is my friend?

Where is that friend that I used to hang-out with?

The friend that I always lend my ears into when she got problems, its her time to give back. Right?

We’ll I really hate expecting things. I hate it when I expect that people will treat me the way I treat them. I hate it when I expect them to care for me the way I care for them. And I hate it the way I am always there for the people I treated as friend, and dropping-out important things just to be there!

Lessons? Don’t just be a good friend. Be a smart friend also.
