Good list for the (fairly distant) future...
Fascinating history of how pregnancy / pregnant bodies have been judged and viewed. I think of myself as having a pretty healthy body image but reading this can think of many occasions when I’ve succumbed to the narrative of how pregnant women are supposed to look: joking that I’d finally crossed the “pregnant or fat” line when the lady at my regular burrito place asked me how far along I was, attributing my lower weight gain with The Bug to vampiric tendencies on her part, etc.
While her current growth spurt bears close resemblance to a Buffy outtake😵, this is a good reminder to be healthier (mentally and emotionally, that is) about my post-pregnancy body. After all - the bottom line is the adorable (and hungry again) baby!

A thousand times this! Really great at bringing to life the cycle of “dad doesn’t get or doesn’t feel he can take time off to take care of baby / everyone is less confident in dad taking care of baby / mom takes on more of caregiving / dad takes on more burden for work because mom’s caregiving crowds out work” and laying the blame where it belongs:
A) Crappy leave policies for any parent in most companies
B) Cultural presumption that men don’t do the caregiving and becoming a dad shouldn’t affect their work
