I was quite kicked when I saw these kind of pics on IG and thats when I actually paid attention and noticed the different things/places printed on our new notes! The Rs. 50 note has the stone chariot monument found in Hampi inside the Vitthala Temple complex. Isn't it cool? I've discussed our new note designs with a lot of people and most find them almost like play notes (think monopoly). I have to agree... but hey... I LOVE monopoly so I ain't complaining!! Fellow Indians! Do you like our new (well, not so new anymore) notes? Which one is your favourite? The sunset was pretty incredible at Hampi. The powerful sun looked pretty glamerous all the way down to when it became a speck. Couldn't help but snap away every few minutes of its descent. Do you embarrass easily? I am a night person and the sun really drains me of my energy. So whenever I plan a full day of sightseeing, I try to do it in an air conditioned car so that I always have something to run back into. In Hampi, since we went around in an auto rickshaw (tuk tuk) I did not have that option. So when I found a little bit breeze right in front of this temple, I just plonked down... blocking part of the entrance!! Don't care what people thought about me, but I was no way giving up on breeze on such a sunny day! And then turn it into a photoshoot. Lol. What's the best part about travelling with someone? I think I have to say it's the 5 extra minutes of sleep I get, cos I almost always make the other person use the bathroom first. 😋 I'm not one who likes to travel solo... well not yet at least, and I enjoy having someone I can fight with, talk to, take photos of (and vice versa!) and just experience many new firsts with them. Trying to pose elegantly inside this pretty temple at Hampi⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just the other day I was having a conversation with my sister about posing for my IG pics.. and how until just a few months ago, I would rarely post pics of myself.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What changed?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Many things. But one thing I wanted to highlight here is that I have started MAKING AN EFFORT (which I never did before).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It's amazing how just having a different mind set works wonders. I suddenly know what kind of pictures I want, what type of clothes I want to take with me keeping the location in mind (when its practical).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And most importantly, I've seen a dozen videos on youtube that gives you tips and tricks on how to pose!!!!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Trust me, i'm a terrible poser and I still get super conscious. But I've been making an effort and I'm already quite happy with how things are turning out.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But there is so much more to learn. Learning never stops! The Garden City! Bangalore has the biggest trees that give plenty of shade all over the city. We also went at a time when a lot of flowers were in bloom. These pretty pink and brown flowers (bougainvillea) can be spotted almost everywhere and in tons! It's nice to see a modern city to be so rich in trees and flowers. This is Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace in Bangalore. And this is one of my absolute favourite pics!⠀ ⠀ From the outside, this place doesn't look impressive. But once you're in, its quite nice even though small. The wooden finish gives it such a pretty look. There was some history about Tipu Sultan but not too much to see or read. There isn't much else to do here except wander around this 2-storey building and play peek-a-boo around the pillars.⠀ ⠀ Beware of the railings on the stairs... and maybe at other places too within this palace...cos they are shaky and old!⠀ Also, this place may be a fire hazard probably because of all the wood... that's why there are so many fire extinguishers! Have you been on a Coracle Ride before?⠀ ⠀ I think this was definitely a highlight of our Hampi Trip! We LOVED this little boat ride even though it was only for a short time (about 50 minutes) and the sun was unbearable. The boat was quite safe, though I still insisted on a life jacket cos I cannot swim! :P⠀ ⠀ It was probably the closest or lowest I've been to the water before... on a boat. Which was a pretty awesome feeling! Would love to do more of this at other places... and next time, definitely post 5 pm!⠀ ⠀ Have you done this before? How was your experience?
