The word lying at the core of a name-cloak, and the Wizard who claims it, are each chosen with consideration by the Archmagi themselves. The name-cloak of a Wizard points towards an aspect of the world, a domain, in which they are foremost master. The implication is that the Wizard not only grasps their domain in concept, but also claims its power, wielding it freely as an extension of themselves. This endeavor, undertaken by all Wizards, composes the lifeblood, strength, and very purpose of the Citadel.

As such, a name-cloak carries great magical significance. It should be obvious to the reader that those name-cloaks representing great domains of the world are those that represent great Wizards of the Citadel. For instance, while every graduating class sees a new Sickle, Staff, or possibly Sheath, every Sabre upon taking their name-cloak continued to shape the Citadel so profoundly as to eventually lead with the rank of Archmagi.

However, perhaps even more significant than the domain represented by a name-cloak is the power reflected by its sibilance. Famously, every generation has had its Sleep, but not once in the history of Umora has there ever been a Wizard Snooze.
