Hey everyone. 👋 Quick little update since I’ve been quiet for a bit.
I might be a bit slow on Part 3 of Lila’s Haunting on GlobalComix (the final part of the release for now). I’m still working on it, just juggling a few things at the same time. After that, I’ll see how Chapter 2 goes and plan it out properly.
I also posted the first chapter on NamiComi, so if you haven’t seen it yet, you can check it out here:
A normal girl. A vengeful spirit who already got her revenge. A crow watching from between worlds. Some stories don’t end when they should.
Lately, work’s been a bit all over the place too. I was supposed to cut grass today, but it got pushed to tomorrow instead, so now I’ve got an early morning coming up. 😅 I usually love sleeping in, so that part’s a bit rough, but it is what it is.
Anyway, I’m still here, just a bit busy behind the scenes. Thanks for being patient. 💙
Lila’s Haunting: Echoes of the Vengeful Spirit 👻
🚨 NEW MANGA RELEASE 🚨
I just released the first chapter of Lila’s Haunting: Echoes of the Vengeful Spirit 👻
A rebellious girl crosses paths with a vengeful ghost who already got her revenge… —but refuses to move on.
Something is wrong. Some stories aren’t supposed to continue.

Caught You Looking
Soft morning light spills across the room, catching in Laureli’s hair like tiny stars.
She leans forward with a quiet confidence, a small smirk playing on her lips like she knows something you don’t. Half cozy, half playful, she’s not in any rush to start the day. Just enjoying the moment, the warmth, and the calm before anything else begins.
There’s a natural charm to her effortless, a little teasing, a little lazy, but always glowing in her own way.
Laureli doesn’t need a spotlight.
She is the light. ✨

Dev Update Small update on Lila’s Haunting: Echoes of the Vengeful Spirit
I wanted to be a bit more transparent about something in my workflow. Sometimes, when I’m stuck visualizing a scene or a pose, I use AI-generated references to help me “see” what I’m trying to draw. I don’t copy/paste anything, but I’ve caught myself relying on tracing in a few cases to understand the structure before adding my own details. I’m still drawing everything myself, but I’m aware this puts me in a bit of a gray area, and I’m trying to improve and rely less on it over time. The main reason is honestly just this: Sometimes I can’t fully picture certain scenes in my head, even with multiple references. The AI just helps me bridge that gap so I can keep moving forward. That said, I still care a lot about making this project feel like mine, and I’m actively working on building my skills so I don’t depend on that step as much. I’m curious how other artists feel about this kind of process, especially in indie comics/manga. No pressure or judgment — just genuinely looking for thoughts while I keep working on it. Slowly. Lazily. But seriously. Thanks for reading. 💙
Dev Update: Drawing the Monster
Small update about my little story project, Lila’s Haunting: Echoes of the Vengeful Spirit.
I’m about 5% done out of the planned 27 pages so far.
Right now I’m working on drawing the monster, and honestly… it’s pretty difficult. I watched a lot of tutorials and realized something interesting, though. When it comes to monsters, the line art shouldn’t really be super clean. It actually works better when it’s a bit messy. Like it should kind of make sense, but also not fully make sense at the same time because it’s a creature, something unnatural.
So I’ve been trying to draw it that way.
Now I still have to draw the monster again for the rest of the panel, which might be a bit annoying. I need to keep the design consistent, but it might vary a little, and I think that’s okay.
I’m definitely not a monster artist, but hopefully it turns out well.
Anyway, that’s just a small update. Hope everyone’s day is going well.
Character Reference Sheet Emi
Second main character turnaround.
This time I focused on cleaner proportions and more consistent angles, especially with the head shape and uniform structure. The skirt design took some extra research, but I wanted it to feel natural and grounded.
I kept the expressions subtle so she stays consistent from every view.
This sheet is my current guide for Emi’s overall look and structure going forward. The final manga will be black and white; the color here is mainly for reference.
More to come.
Lila Character Reference Sheet
I’ll be upfront: I’m not an expert at color matching. 😅 I did look at a lot of references, though: character sheets, turnarounds, anime studio models, and all that good stuff. They’re honestly beautiful, and I tried my best to apply what I learned here.
The turnaround was especially hard. I focused on getting the head and proportions right, then did slight variations in facial expressions—nothing extreme, just small, subtle changes so she still feels consistent. I referenced and lightly traced some model sheets to get the vibe and structure right while learning; it was a huge help in understanding how these forms actually break down.
I’m also being honest when I say I don’t know yet how perfectly this reference sheet will translate into the manga. Drawing characters consistently in panels is hard. Like… really hard. But for now, this layout works.
This sheet is my current guide to the face shape, proportions, general look, and vibe I’ll be aiming for. The final version will be black and white, since it’s manga-style, so the colors here are mostly for reference in case I ever decide to do color illustrations or colored pages in the future.
Hopefully, I can stick close to this as I keep working on the manga/comic/whatever-this-becomes. 😅 So yeah, this is how Lila should look for now.
More to come.
Mini update on my indie manga / comic thing ✨
So yeah, a little update on my small project, Lila’s Haunting: Echoes of the Vengeful Spirit. I’ve got 8 pages done so far, which is cool… but I noticed something that’s been bugging me.
My character consistency (especially the crow) is kind of all over the place. 😅 I tend to pause, then come back to drawing later, pause again, continue again, and over time the character slowly changes without me even realizing it. I know you’re supposed to keep drawing consistently, but… Yeah, that’s easier said than done.
I’m debating whether I should just leave it as it is and let people notice the inconsistencies naturally or if I should slow down and fix things properly. I mainly wanted to be upfront about it.
Because of that, I’m thinking of making proper character turnaround sheets, something I can actually look at instead of relying purely on imagination every time. I think that’ll help a lot.
The plan right now is:
Each chapter is around 27 pages.
I’m aiming for 27 chapters total (yeah, it’s ambitious, I know).
I’m working on it slowly but surely. I do use ChatGPT to help brainstorm ideas sometimes, because honestly… coming up with everything by yourself is hard. It helps me think things through. I also ask friends for feedback, and they do give it, but they’re understandably more interested once there’s more to read. One page at a time doesn’t really give the full picture, you know?
Anyway, my goal is to finish it this year, if I can. Lately work’s been rough, though. Lots of shifts, mostly night shifts mixed with morning shifts, and yeah… I’ve been pretty exhausted.
Still, I’m trying. Slowly. Lazily. But genuinely.
Thanks for reading. 💙
I Went Out for a Pillow and Came Back With a Book
So, here’s what I did today.
I woke up and went to IKEA with my dad to buy a new pillow. Nothing wild, just a chill little outing, honestly.
After that, we hit the mall, and I ended up buying a manga (or maybe a light novel?) called Torture Princess. I don’t think it has an anime adaptation, but the book itself is huge, which kind of sold me on it.
If anyone’s read it, don’t tell me if it’s good or bad; I want to find out on my own 👀. I think it’s published by Yen Press, but don’t quote me on that.
Anyway, that’s my day. Pretty simple, but kind of nice.

This isn’t my first time making a character sheet, but it is my first time trying to sell my art through a store on Ko-fi. I’m treating it like a small test priced about the cost of a coffee. I’m sharing it because it’s my art, and I’m retracing it to make it more neutral. Hopefully people will like it.
