UNDERLUST: RELOADED — an underlust rewrite !

chara was born with a passion soul (non-sexual).

after asriel and their deaths, the underground was plunged into a spiral of mourning, with thousands monsters passing away (many of which being children). in an attempt to fix this, the royal scientist, ██████ extracted residual soul magic from chara's body with the permission of asgore, crafting a drug made from both magic and chara's soul trait. due to a lack of testing however, once it was given to monsterkind, the magic within the drug mutated and turned into the L-Virus. the L-Virus enduses a need for pleasure of the sexual variety, and if not satiated, it will attack the magic within the souls of those effected, killing them.

if i ever do get around to making a comic for it, the story will focus mainly on alphys and her attempts at creating a cure

there is no frisk in this au and there wont be any mentions of the other fallen children outside of mentions of their souls

ive had the basic ideas (mainly just backstory) for this rewrite planned for a good few years (2024-ish), but i hadn't wanted to post about it until i turned 18 due to the yk obvious content included so now im posting about it!!
