“Game journalists are canceling skyrim grandma” is a sentence I just typed on discord as a conscious thought meant to convey real information and not a random string of words generated by my anxiety addled mind to cope
Every so often for fucking like seven years or so now, game journos prove to be skeevy scum with no soul or morals that fuck other people over. But there's so so SO many people that stick up for these assholes or simply side with them to "own the gamers(tm)" and eat up everything the journos shit out like "all gamers are cis, white, men who hate women and minorities".
Here we have THE biggest "LOOK at these assholes, they shouldn't be trusted and shouldn't have a job!", yet here we are yet again, nobody calling out these game journos first lying about a gaming grandma, THEN trying to get her cancelled when she called them out on the lie published online. And I'm sure she'll be fucking labeled a gamergate granny or some shit just to further vilify her. Maybe they'll find something she said thirty years ago that's problematic to double down on her being evil or some shit.
Some people are paid a salary to bring down our quality of life and not all of those people are politicians.
This is why art theft is such a big deal. I’ve had this idea for a comic for a while now, and while it didn’t turn out the way I had invisioned it all these years, It still turned out better than expected.
My original idea was for the crowed to get so large that the artist gets trampled underneath and has to claw their way over the floor to get out, while their art was being damaged in the rush to see the stolen piece. Ultimately it proved beyond my line art capabilities, but I still like how it turned out.
I know so many people who quit posting their work online because of art theft, and there was a time where I was close. It’s a very big deal, as you can see by the hours indicated under the pictures of how long it took to do. You’re not only stealing their work, you’re stealing their credits, and you’re stealing their time.
It's true.
There is no warmth. There is no safety. There is no peace. All of it is for nothing and that's all I'll ever amount to.
A large group of well-armed good Samaritans took to the streets this week to openly break a bad law to help the homeless and those less fortunate.
Feeding and clothing the homeless in the land of the free has now become a revolutionary act. Luckily, however, there are still good people willing to carry that act out.
In December 2014, the Dallas city council enacted Ordinance No. 29595, which makes it illegal to serve food to the homeless without jumping through a statist myriad of bureaucratic hoops, including a fee, training classes, and written notices.
One should not need to file multiple forms and pay a fee to obtain a permit to give food to those in need who are willingly ready to accept it. The folks at Don’t Comply know this.
Over the weekend, the aptly named organization, Don’t Comply, and dozens of volunteers from children to adults alike took to the streets of Dallas to hand out food, sleeping bags, clothing, and tents to the area’s less fortunate.
As TFTP has reported on numerous occasions, often times, police will swoop in and shut down those who would dare defy the authority of the state and conduct charity without a permit. However, most organizations aren’t like Don’t Comply.
As they took to the streets this weekend, many of the members of the organization open carried their weapons. This was done—not out of an act of intimidation—but merely to assert rights as well as protect them.
The resultant heavily armed group of do-gooders effectively staved off any attempts by police to shut down the charitable efforts.
Fuck the state, direct action
Never thought “in order to feed the homeless” was a reason to own an AR but we live in a society I guess
State says no, get enough armed leople to make them irrelevant
I’m adding this to the list of armed citizenry telling the police to go fuck themselves. Right alongside the bundy stand off and battle of athens.
I’d like to remind everyone that their hatred for police in situations like this is misguided. The police did not write the law, debate the law, then pass the law.
You can criticize the messenger all day long, but dont forget the authors…
