Prime Starscream is actually one of my favourite designs of all screamers and I'd like to draw him much more. Even though my Artstyle doesn't heavily rely on lineart, sometimes I enjoy the simpler doodles.

The prime designs are much sharper and "shapey" / less humanoid and I think the latter is definitely a struggle for me since the only thing im really good at is painting human faces. I guess I gotta step out of my comfort zone and get to work!

Transformers Spotlight: Megatron (2013) -IDW Publishing

To me, Megatron and Starscream's relationship is something way deeper than just the abuser and the abused. The constant emotional and physical torment Starscream endures from Megatron, all while the other Decepticons watch, just gives me a sense of helplessness toward Starscream. Yes, he isn't completely innocent, and yes, it's sort of his own fault for trying to steal Megatron's position, but the fact that no other Decepticon gets treated to this extent is really interesting to me. Megatron uses Starscream as his punching bag and a constant reminder to the other Decepticons that power rules. But I also think it's another way for Megatron to vent his frustrations. Regardless, the fact that Starscream never actually leaves Megatron's side gives me a feeling of sheer tragedy.
