Where Is the Freedom Veterans Were Promised? Paul Kemp @Healthseeker August 6, 2016 The most powerful group of allies the #Kratom Movement has got is the U.S. #military veterans. Everyone has heard of their PTSD and the #suicide rates, the long waits for poor treatment at the #VA, and now the #DEA wants to take away the only thing that has helped many of them (who have found this #natural #tea). #Vets deserve better -- We ALL do, actually, as #Americans! There is a lot of superficial talk about #freedom, but -- to apply the old commercial tag line -- "Where's the beef?!" I have tried and will continue to try, to get veterans' groups like #WoundedWarrior and the #GarySiniseFoundation to take an interest in our cause. I sent them a copy of the Soldier of the Year video as soon as it appeared, but the Memorial Day holiday got in the way. Maybe they'll contact us when they get back in the office today. Devotees of #herbs, nutritional #supplements, essential oils, (#EO's) and other forms of #natural medicines are clamoring for recognition, while attempts to squelch them by force of law and media disinfo grow more insistent. We have watched pharmaceutical medicine swing from easing access by prescription to the strongest #opioids, while the death toll grew and the CDC quietly watched for 10 years, saying nothing, to the point where those dependent for some form of #pain relief are searching the streets for cheap and plentiful heroin! And, when some disgruntled patients discovered an herb that worked better than Rx opioids -- and eased #withdrawals mercifully -- now Pharma and their indentured servants in the media, which depend on Pharma's advertising money -- conduct a nonstop campaign of disinformation against the plant that is freeing the masses, #Kratom. Many of the victims of Pharma's #malfeasance forgive them nevertheless, partly due to Stockholm Syndrome and partly, perhaps, because their 401K funds may be invested in pharma's growth stocks. Yes, #BigPharma's magnetic lure is fueled by the retirement funds and Medicare accounts of their suffering victims. Yes, Pharma's wealth can buy a lot of forgiveness for their cruel business plan that has no cures for anything but a dwindling list of infections. Now, Pharma's minions are attempting to remove our human right to refuse their products on grounds of conscience and religious beliefs. Many of the chronically ill have already lost what little health and wealth they had to Big Pharma's money machine and now, they have come to take our most personal freedom -- the right to refuse treatments we don't want or believe in.

The American Kratom Association is sad to announce that the DEA has decided to do an Emergency Scheduling of the two key alkaloids in Kratom, Mitragynine and 7-Hydroxymitragynine.
