liking podcasts is the worst. you will enjoy it, look forward to it, then youre all caught up and have to wait for the next episode "when will my husband return from the war" like.
in the meantime you look at other stuff to fill your routine, you find a podcast, its great, youre invested, NOW HES ALSO OFF TO WAR (the team is working on the next season)
On Bloodmary, I think if we’re all loud enough about this ship we can trick a major studio into greenlighting a film co starring Ryan Gosling and Markiplier.
Dialogue parallels
Aroace Grace AND BloodyMary are BOTH great and fun ways to enjoy Grace as a character and I would like people to be nice to each other over these different ways of enjoying PHM. Block button and scrolling exist and it should be peace and love on planet fandom. How wonderful that we can all enjoy this media in different ways without claiming that certain ways of enjoying it are bad and wrong
I’m interested: convince me to listen to [redacted]
oooooooOOOOOO YES YES ANONYMOUS PERSON OF COURSE !!
Ok, so I’ll just give you a quick summary of what the podcast is about before getting into the reasons why you should listen to it.
So it’s about this guy named Jacob Kane who assumes his twin brother’s life, Jordan Kane, after he passes away (Jacob had been desperate for a fresh start and a job 💔). Although, he quickly finds out that his brother was in fact not just some office guy or banker but instead a member of the covert [REDACTED] Unit, an ‘agency tasked with containing impossible creatures and phenomena’ (quote directly from the About on Spotify). And from then on, he has now no other choice than to keep acting as his brother (BIG HUSH HUSH SECRET HE HAS TO KEEP BECAUSE NO ONE KNOWS HE’S NOT JORDAN) and take on these aberrant cases !!
I hope that makes sense. Their synapses on Spotify is way better but like isn’t that such an awesome burger plot?
ANYWAYYYY so into the reasons why you should listen to this:
1. It’s very silly and serious at the same time, angst and giggles all around ! (I will not be re-listening to that funeral episode, very sad; I will be listening to Lucas Tries again, though.)
2. All The characters have their own distinct personalities and lore and auugghh I love all of them! Their conversations feel realistic to me in a way, you know? I don’t know exactly how to explain it, but they feel organic. Great writing!! Lucas Kipp the goat.
3. They have these Postmortem eps that dive a little deeper about the creature featured in the main episode a few days after the main is posted. They’re like a little sweet treat.
4. It’s just awesome bro. Trust. It ain’t got a 4.9 star rating for no reason.
5. OH AND THE CREATORS ARE SUPER COOL !! They also have a tumblr acc 🤍
6. And the podcast updates every Friday, so you don’t have to wait super long for a new episode 😼 There are currently only 20 eps out rn (not including the Postmortem ones), and they are all abt 36-ish minutes long, so it wouldn’t be too difficult to catch up if you started listening today.
Hope this convinced you to at least give the first few episodes a try whoever you are!! You have inspired me to draw more [REDACTED] doodles YIPPEEE
Now it's only me. Only us. Correction.
Shirts i have absolute confidence Ryland Grace owns:
Glad to see some of us are projecting the “gender-dubious STEM expert turns into an absolute freak when not at work” archetype onto post-Hail Mary Grace. Because anyone in STEM with a big enough circle will know that at least one of the more respected experts in any given field behind closed doors is into hypno-leash-bdsm-sybau-ts-pmo or some shit
I think I might be too lost in the bloodymary sauce. Because what do you mean I sketched this fully believing it would be obvious that it was Simon Iron Lung.
Collecting my favorite Podcast monologues here, all of these have made me foam at the mouth/pos (I would love to know anyone elses fr)
Midnight Burger Episode 26: Casper's Resolve
I Am in Eskew Episode 25: Welcome to Fucking Eskew
Malevolent Episode 43: John and Self-Acceptance
Camp Here and There Episode 59: The Proposal of Could've Beens
Camp Here and There Episode 69: Demon Tango Crash Out *Loud Train Whistle*
Silt Verses Episode 38: Faulkner Threatens God
Is this.... writing an audiodrama?
Man hates the idea of working retail so much he fakes his own death, steals his brother's identity, and begins working at the SCP foundation
Imagine aroace Ryland Grace who maybe has, maybe hasn’t fully come to accept himself as aroace, being told the “ you don’t even have a dog” line.
Being hit once again with the feeling that you’re “weird” or “strange” for not having a romantic connection and that it makes others view you as more expendable.
How isolating for someone who clearly loves Earth and his connection to humanity.
Not just lack of romantic connections! (having a dog isn't a romantic relationship XD) Maybe afamilial or aplatonic-spectrum Ryland Grace, because his lack of dependants is more than a lack of a romantic partner :)
Okay I get it's a crackship but it's real to me. They're real to me and they live in my heart
Been really enjoying the fox symbolism and I've seen a couple of lamb references... but I haven't seen any where the lamb survives.
