Its been 2026 for over two weeks now and I have to admit, I've been slacking in producing art, especially in sharing it.

My goal for this year is to produce at least one fully illustrated piece every month and I'm starting with trying to reconstruct this iconic microraptor fossil!!

Along with one fully illustrated piece, I may add a couple of silly sketches throughout each month.

BARYONYX WALKERI Meet the dinosaur that helped our understanding of the Spinosauridae family, Baryonyx! Baryonyx was discovered in Surrey, England by fossil hunter William Walker. While Baryonyx doesn't have a large sail like it's well known cousin, Spinosaurus aegyptiacus it is still an absolutely impressive therapod in its own right, landing it one of my favourite Spinosaurids and technically by favourite baryonychine.

Not proud of these two at all to be honest but I really wanted to get another complete (or almost, in this case) illustration out for you all sooner rather than later.

I do hope all the college work will let up soon and I can get back to putting out similar art like this for you all :D

Hey :)

I just want to apologise as there may not be much art from me for a bit (especially since I promised at least two dino illustrations a month) as College work is getting pretty heavy along with other personal life dramas.

I hope next year I can kick into gear with this blog more fully and post stuff I'm actually proud of and think you all would enjoy!!

I am trying my best to get the second illustration for this month done but I am struggling with some anatomy issues so the second dino post for this month may just be some anatomy studies (specifically of tryrannosaurs) and leave the Nanotyrannus and Jane illustration for December

Good thing I am doing A LOT of research before starting my second paleoart for this month! I‘m going to do my best to reconstruct the Nanotyrannus and Jane!! And maybe this time I will tag them correctly 😅

Planning a Nanotyrannus drawing and decided to watch a video on the history by paleo analysis and I feel even more confused?? Are there two known species of Nanotyrannus now that we think Jane is no longer a juvi rex?

And here we go, result from the Judith River Formation #paleostream! This late Cretaceous formation might be full of charismatic megafauna but it is currently understudied and a total mess when it comes to stratigraphy. In this scene I wanted to focus on two aspects...

For one the Deinosuchus mother defending her nest and on the other the side the many ceratopsians from Judith. We can't show them all but you get the idea ;) Also, because the fauna is similar to Dinosaur Park I wanted to go with quite a different mood.

For people who know the Wiki page of the Judith River Formation you will notice that Zuul is missing from here, that's because we chose the middle member. The lower Oldman Formation is basically the same around this time, so its in here too. Size chart by Montana
