First off, I will put this in perspective and admit that this is - by far - not the most important thing in my life . However, it is something that definitely had me in somewhat uncontrollable emotion. Lol. Crying and laughing couldn't happen independently that day. KOBE my fellow Virgo. You've officially left the game I grew to love while bearing witness to your journey. It's not JUST about the championships, the victory over the Celtics, or the countless broken records. It's about WORK ETHIC. What you have done for the game and the laker organization will echo in eternity because your work made it so. The early mornings and the late nights are what made you great. I don't admire you just because you play for my team (although it helps); I admire you because of your RESILIENCY. You've seen the planets align, in both, your favor and against. Yet, you've treated both success and failure just the same- temporary. More work ahead. I've seen Achilles injuries... To walk on that foot- unassisted. Wow. I see the peace in your eyes. They are the eyes of a soul who exhausted the possibilities and has simply found the serenity to accept what is. Beyond this, you have found yet another passion to submerse your work ethic into. Admiration and respect is what I am filled with. I aim to take these things and remind myself of their importance in my own life. I will be whatever I set myself out to be. Because I am. Because I could be. Because I will be. I'm not just watching.... I'm learning. This is what drove the emotions I felt the day. Many don't understand it. I'm ok with that.
