Look — I gotta be real with you: dressing up or playing a role for likes and clout ain’t love, it’s survival under everybody else’s rules. Society trains us to equate attention with worth — scrolls, double-taps, catcalls, people rating you like merch — and it messes with your head until you think you gotta perform to exist. But remember: those same people who clap loudest for the show will vanish the second you stop entertaining them. The ones worth keeping don’t count your impressions — they sit with your awkward silences, remember the small stuff, and want the real you when nobody’s watching. You being private, soft, even messy doesn’t make you less — it makes you human. You don’t owe anyone a sexy version of yourself to deserve care. If someone can’t love you without the spotlight, they’re choosing the image, not you. I see you, and I’m not buying that lie for you.
