Ztra fans are indeed upset that the ship isn't canon. You can claim you don't care and throw around buzzwords all you want but at the end of the day all the shit you do to hate on the characters and series tells us all we need to know.

Your insane interpretations of the story is not genuine, it comes from a place of ignorance and jealousy. You hate that your non-ship wasn't canon. And instead of just enjoying fanfics you instead try to makeup reasons as to why they should be together and base it off of shitty views of these characters and the plot as as a whole.

Canon clearly matters.

I am not trusting takes from anyone who ignores Katara as a character just cus she isn't with the boy they had a crush on as a child.

Aang not killing Ozai was a great choice. Of course fans watching are going to see it as weak but Aang made a hard decision.

The Fire Nation took everything from Aang. There is almost nothing left but what entered the ice with him.

Part of that is his culture and beliefs. Being the Avatar shouldn't strip him of that.

Aang killing Ozai not only would've been the easy way out for that piece of shit, but it would've been another win for the Fire Nation who would've succeeded in putting an end to Aang's beliefs.

You as a viewer can have all these opinions but you also have to take into account why the character did what they did, even if you don't agree.

People are able to not give af in the verse because they have their people and culture alive and well.

It would be one thing if he hadn't succeeded in stopping Ozai but he did.

Kataang are friends to lovers. You don't see a huge jump in their relationship because it has always been in good standing. That does not mean they didn't develop it.

Katara and Aang cared for eachother as friends first, they did not start off needing a dramatic development because they have always been good to eachother.

That said it doesn't mean we don't see the shift in that relationship. If you don't think Katara ever liked Aang I fear you're just not watching the show properly.

My issue isn't that people don't like Kataang. You are free to do that. My issue is that you use your delusion to hate it.

There is nothing that tells us Aang is a bad partner to Katara. You want her to be a victim because you don't like the ship. That is weird as hell.

You don't have to have a moral reason to dislike Kataang. Just don't like it. But don't be on some bs and get shocked you getting called out.

The issue is y'all diminish Katara's character just because you don't like Kataang. That is my main issue.

I am not gonna act like she is written perfectly but acting like she doesn't have her own feats and own story outside of Aang is such bullshit.

You deny it because you want some moral reason to hate Kataang instead of just liking the ship you like.

Katara has never been afraid to call out Aang, she is literally a prodigy with her bending and is always in the conversation when it comes to Team Avatar and their accomplishments.

You don't have to like Kataang but degrading her character so you can feel like you have a leg up on other shippers is such a stupid choice. Especially since the ship you want her in includes someone who was complicit in genocidee. I mean the dude kidnapped her and tied her and her brother up.

Just like your ship. It's truly that simple.
