What someone need to do to start think that The Kid was really portrayed as the Devil (acted like a devil, looked like a devil, wanted to destroy the world, and what else should the devil do there)? It is necessary to fulfill three important conditions. Strictly in this order. It’s dangerous to confuse.

1)  don’t watch Castle Rock at all

2)  don’t watch Castle Rock at all

3) and also don’t watch Castle Rock at all (it is very important!)

Dennis Zalewski x The Kid fanfiction

Part I

I have no name for this yet, events happen differently than in canon, slash (sfw), Dennis Zalewski x The Kid, other relationships are mentioned, an extended version will be available on Ao3, but not right now.

I  don’t like to describe every detail, but people here love to imagine something. So, imagine every intonation and gestures that these people made while they were talking to each other.

- Oh. I can’t believe it! - commented Boyd when he saw that Zalewski gave a bag of donuts and ice cream to a strange kid. - I brought him a couple of donuts and ice cream. What’s the big deal, Boyd? - You buy food for the prisoner. This is wrong. In addition, before you tried to spoon-feed him  like a small child. It is not normal at all. Maybe you also go to the toilet with him and wipe his ass? - First, he is not a prisoner. He is being held here illegally. Secondly it’s none of your business what exactly am i doing for him.

Of course, Boyd’s words about the toilet was not true at all. But Dennis cared a lot about this kid. On the first day, he helped this scared awkward kid to do everything. Even help him in the shower and help him shave and and comb. It was somewhat embarrassing. But who else could help this kid? And Dennis honestly admitted to himself that he liked combing his hair. “It’s like combing a cat probably. Very big cat and very beautiful … no, stop! Dennis, this is not what you should be thinking.” Actually, Dennis really liked to take care of this kid, simply because he wanted to help. He could not leave him in trouble since he found him. He wanted to take this kid to home and teach everything that ordinary people know and can do. But he could not. Therefore, he tried to help this kid get freedom, but for now Dennis cared about him and at least here teach him everything he forgot or never knew. And tried to feed him with anything other than bread and apples. Dennis noticed that this kid was smart and apparently he knew ever about what people usually do or just learn very quickly. But rather the first. Dennis thought this kid remembers his life outside the cage. So at least he did not live in that cage all his life. “I have to ask him how much he stayed there and how he got there as soon as he spoke,” Dennis thought, but Boyd interrupted his thoughts:

- Are you in love with him? Well, just fuck him then. - Boyd… He cannot even give consent and I doubt that now he may want someone to fuck him. Besides I just care about him because I want to. By the way, love is not just about fuck someone. Sometimes there are more important things. - He cannot give consent, but he cannot refuse. You know, I am 100% straight, I was never attracted to men at all, but he is… I would have done something kinky with him. Just because I’m curious how it can be, and he will never tell anything, because he doesn’t say anything. I think he probably got used to it. - How dare you? Say one more word, and I’ll… - I’m just kidding. Just calm down, all right? - No laughing matter, Boyd. - Don’t you think you’re taking this a bit too hard, Zalewsky? - I don’t. Just imagine if this is true? What if Lacey really used him for sex and abused him? - I’m pretty sure it’s true. Otherwise, why would he keep some guy there? - So, imagine yourself in this kid’s place. And after that, you would think that it’s okay if a man does something kinky to you? - You didn’t understand what I meant. I don’t want making him hurt. Even if I did something, I would do it gently. - You’re an idiot? I doubt that he wants anything like that at all from anyone now. And especially from you. - Zalewski looked that strange kid, and it seemed to him that kid was sad. More sad than usual, - And besides, maybe he heard what you and I were talking about now. He looks sad. -  Nah. He looks creepy as usual. - He is not creepy to me, but you are. - OK then. Do not talk to me, go there and talk to him. - Fine.

*** - Why are you sad? Were you offended by what I said or did? -  Zalewski asked that silent sad kid without a name. - No. - he answered in a confident voice. - You can talk! - Zalewski smiled. He was happy. He did not understand why, but he would be very happy. - Of course I can talk. I remembered so much thanks to you. - Thanks to me? - These donuts, and many things that you said and did. It reminded me… Many things from the past. - Hush, don’t speak so loud. Your lawyer said you shouldn’t say anything about yourself before you leave here. - But I didn’t do anything bad, actually. Lacey just found me freezing in the woods. -  In the woods? Tell me how you got there? And this kid was telling everything he remembered. The more this kid was talked about himself, the more Zalewski was furious at everyone who held and continues to keep this guy here, in the prison. - I would have strangled him with my bare hands, if he was alive. I will kill anyone who hurt you! - Don’t. Dennis, you shouldn’t. Because then you will die. It seems I have already seen it in my visions there, in the forest. And I saw myself again in that tank, in a cage. I did not save you, and you did not save me. - Have you seen the future? - I don’t know what it was. But just… No need to kill anyone, it will end badly for both of us. - I just want you out of here. And these people don’t want to let you out of here alive. I don’t want you to die or someone to hurt you. You are important to me. I probably know for the first time in my life what I want and who I love.I do not want to live like “how it happened” simply because I had no choice. I want to help people and be with you. - But you have a family here. And I… If I come back, will you be able to go with me? What if you get into trouble there? Just like me got into trouble here. - You may have a family there too. Maybe you have a baby there. And I fell in love with you like an idiot. Although it is hopeless, it seems. - And I fell in love with you like an idiot. This is not surprising, you are the first person who treated me well for the past 27 years. You did not kill the dragon, but you saved a princess. - A prince. Prince Henry. Sounds beautiful. - To be honest, I am afraid that I will not be able to return home. What if this portal takes me somewhere else? What if only those who hear themselves can go somewhere and return home. But stay here? What if I’m really dangerous for people here? And I am not getting old here or I am aging too slowly. - Falling in love with an immortal with supernatural abilities this is not what I expected before I met you. And I don’t know what to do with it. And I don’t know how to help you. We can only hope that our Henry will be able to come up with something. Or I’ll just let you out nobody sees. I will be with you, and we will see you are really dangerous or not. - But I don’t want to be dangerous for you. - You are not dangerous for me. I actually touched you a hundred times. So what? Nothing. - And what if I bewitched you and you are not in love with me, and I unintentionally did it? - Bullshit. It’s not even because I’ve seen you naked. It happened by itself. And honestly, I’m ready to just be your friend. I just have the need to help you and be with you. This is more than sex or something. - As for sex, you were right. I don’t want it at all now. Not because you’re a man, I would not want it now from anyone. - So you heard everything that I and Boyd said? - You spoke loudly enough to be heard. - Oh… - I am not angry with him. Sometimes he is a bit of an idiot. But he also kind to me, even though he hides it. He even gave me chocolates once. - I’m afraid even to guess what he wanted from you. - No, nothing like that. He just gave me a couple of chocolates, wished me to get out of here soon and left. - Thank God. He is not as bad as I starts to think. - But there is a very bad person here, and you should be wary of him. - Is that Reeves? - Yes. He is afraid of me, but he wants to get rid of me. And he is one of those who can harm you. - Did you see it in the forest too? - No. I just know that he is dangerous. - When he told to miss Porter how you scared him I laugh my ass off! I hope he did not hear it. Meanwhile, Boyd returned to remind Zalewski that he is still at work “Hey, Zalewski, you should not be here now. Just like him. Take him where he should be.” - Just wait for me, okay? And we will be out of here and go together somewhere. In the meantime, we will not be our Henry should  make things right  and you will be in safety. No one will chasing you anymore,- Zalewski said to that kid, who just remembered his name is also Henry. - But unfortunately, I must now lead you back to the cell. - I understand. I hope that we can escape from here. Because I’m afraid these people will kill me, and you can’t stop them. And even more, I’m afraid that you might hurt because of me. - Everything will be fine. I am warned about what I should not do.

The Kid is really Henry Deaver from parallel world (or alternate timeline). And not Devil or demon. Like or reblog if you agree.

The fandom got distracted and here again appeared some people who wanted to promote their headcanon that The Kid is a really devil as canon. But what devilish he actually did? Did he have plans to destroy the world? No. Gave he something to people in exchange for their souls? No. And nothing else that could be associated with the devil. There was not shown and especially not been proven that he is really devil. Look for the devil in another TV show.

Some people says that the world The Kid talked about is too perfect. But actually there is nothing perfect. In that world Matthew Deaver keeps little boy Henry as prisoner in his basement.  Henry “The Kid” Deaver’s mother is still ill with Alzheimer’s disease. The fact that Henry “The Kid” conducted a successful experiment with a cat does not mean it will work with people. He really wanted to help his mother, but not the fact that he could. Molly is not drug addict, but most likely it ’s because she didn’t kill Henry’s father. This is not “perfect life”, but ordinary life. Zalewski is police officer, but it is not a “dream job”. Zalewski (from the "imperfect" world) wanted to study to be a lawyer, he was not going to be a police officer. Nothing is “too perfect” in that world. It’s just that things were different, but not perfect and not always good.

“What if in episode 9 The Kid was lied? What if there were no parallel worlds?” 

Well. Ok. What the hell is that then? Here is the child Henry Deaver looks at the adult Henry Diver. And this is the moment when adult Henry Deaver (himself) came there. This is the first episode, by the way.

Actually, where is not a single proof was presented canonically that The Kid is a devil. But there was a whole episode that he was Henry Deaver from an alternative world. And in the fifth episode, it was shown that he is not happy that he has destructive abilities (which he has likely because he is from another world). He said that he should not have come out of the cage (no one was near at that moment, he is just said this aloud). I did not say it, he said it. So stop compare The Kid (or maybe AU Henry?) with canonically confirmed devils. He is way different. Even if someone believes he has become a villain.
