the biggest secret that Big Fanfic doesn't want you to know is that the best way to find fics you'll enjoy is to scroll through the bookmarks of a fic written by an author you already like. people gravitate toward fics written in similar styles, etc that they enjoy. so if someone's read your favorite author, chances are they've read fics that are similar to those written by your favorite author. if i get killed by Big Wattpad we'll know why

i love talking about birds so here i go (European birds mostly):

Eurasian Jay

this is my favourite bird. i love the neutral colours and then the beautiful blue in the wings. in flight, it's great to look at! also their call (screeches?) is kind of dinosaur-esque and i like that

Eurasian Blue Tit

a classic in europe, always a delight to see in gardens, this little colourful cutie

Common Kingfisher

look how pretty it is! also really hard to photograph, i have never managed, but i'm not losing hope

Western House-Martin

these cuties make their nests under my workplace's windows every summer, and it's always a delight to see them! my town has made several artificial nests for them to use, and provides mud tanks for the ones who prefer to construct their nests themselves.

Common Swift

also a summer bird, i love hearing their screeches during the evening and seeing them flying high in the clouds, especially before thunderstorms

White Wagtail

i've alway loved seeing wagtails walk, their characteristic wobble is fascinating to look at. the way they fly too!

i love seeing them walking up and down trees, and their colouring is nice to look at

I’m reblogging again because I did it myself and added pictures for those who have trouble learning from the video.

First take a standard rectangular piece of paper (I used one from a small notebook which I ripped out then cut the holes off)

Then fold in half touching the shorter side to the opposite shorter side.

Fold again making the new shorter side touch the other new shorter side

I did this one more time, but this time I unfolded it right after to get back to where it was only folded twice. It should have left a crease in the paper.

Using this crease, fold the corners up alongside it to look like this

This are also going to be unfolded, but this time you’re going to push in alongside the triangular folds you just made and undid.

Doing this once will result in this
