So we got the final results from the Trevor Project collab last month, it came to over $61,000!

Now, what I didn't know is that the volunteer board of directors had all agreed to match the donations, meaning we had a finished total of $432,000 raised

I'm reeling! I can't believe something I was a part of had that kind of impact! thank you all so much!

Also the post went way outside of my circle into the worthless shithead side of tumblr, and the donations are already closed, so I'm locking the post. Hopefully that stops it from being put in front of the people who have been sending me death threats and suicide bait for being queer on the internet

CONTENT CREATOR ARC - FINALE

AUUGHHHHHH this one was such a doozy to make!! The work was split about halfway between me and Jasmine (milkguzzler99 on Reddit), and I'd say all in all it took about 20 hours total.

I have more to say about the arc itself tomorrow in the reblogs. BUT!! Thank you all for reading and enjoying the stuff we've put out over the past month!! This is the most intensive art project I've ever done, but I think it turned out extremely extremely well

So, later THIS week, I'll be in Columbus, Ohio for the National Cartoonists Society's 80th annual conference and Reuben Award weekend. This will be the second time since 2024 that Finding Dee will be a nominee for a Silver Divisional award for Best Short Form Webcomic. Two years ago this time, I was an utter WRECK! My impostor syndrome was SCREAMING at me, and utterly kicking my butt. Everything it was saying here was magnified by a factor of 10, and it took all of the massive amounts of validation I received that weekend... in spite of NOT winning... to shut those voices up. This year, however, as I write this, my usually ever-present Impostor Syndrome is a LOT quieter. A SECOND nomination means the last time wasn't a fluke. Being asked to draw the official t-shirt said a lot too. I'm not writing any of this to brag, but to say that this kind of stuff can be fought against. Sometimes it takes a DANG long time, but it's worth it. Now, cross your collective fingers for me this weekend! (Big Reuben! Big Reuben! No Whammies!)
