Hey Sweetie! Just wondering if you are planning to update your fanfic soon! Can't wait for the next chapter! Hope all is well!
Hello! I should probably have posted to explain what is happening with the fanfic haha! There should be an update soon (as in the near future). Currently I'm just doing a lot of research for my dissertation so the fanfic has been on hold for a bit but have no fear, it will be sorted soon! ☺️
What if a ship sails in and its a rescue team from one of the spouses of the crew.
The crew of the Silent Mary had been trapped in the hell of the Devil's Triangle for a month and Captain Salazar was rather sure that the information of their disappearance should have reached the Spanish mainland by now. He had not voiced this opinion however, as he was also sure that no one would find them. Especially as it was uncharted waters. So when a ship came floating into the ghostly territory, Captain Salazar was more than shocked to say the least to hear Spanish voices calling their names. Lieutenant Lesaro had almost thrown himself into the water when he heard his wife calling his name but was stopped when the Captain grabbed his sleeve, an action that was uncommon from a man who resented physical contact. "They cannot save us". Captain Salazar hissed at his crew, his hollow voice cracking through the air. "But Captain, may we at least say goodbye?" Lesaro asked, his grey eyes watery. The crew nodded their heads in agreement, a tad desperately and Captain Salazar sighed. Salazar was not a man who would be classed as emphatic but his morals that had died along with him bubbled up like the liquid which filled his mouth, like unholy bile."Fine". He spat. "Do not condemn them either". And with that the crew celebrated silently and made their way off the carcass of the Silent Mary to meet their families. Captain Salazar was not surprised to hear hollowed shrieks and cries from the other ship. They first sounded terrified but were quickly replaced with shock and perhaps even worse, complete hopelessness. After half an hour, Captain Salazar stood leaning heavily against a wooden railing when he heard the voice of his Lieutenant behind him."Captain, there is someone for you". The Lieutenant whispered. Glancing slowly to his right, Captain Salazar straightened up at the petite figure of his niece. She had tears running down her sun kissed cheeks and she gazed at him with unspoken emotions. Before the Captain could react, his niece and thrown herself on him, her arms tightening around his waist. "I told mother that you were alive". She sobbed and flashes of his sisters face flickered behind the Captain's eyes. He abruptly pushed her away and looked into the watery pupils."Your mother was right. We are dead and you must leave and tell her that". He murmured. His niece shook her head stubbornly and Salazar bit back the rage that was attempting to unleash itself. The curse pulled him to spew out hurtful words but his remaining humanity reeled him in. With a sigh, Captain Salazar reached into his pocket and pulled out a golden ring. A ring that both his grandfather and father had once owned. It was passed down to him when they had died and now as he had joined them, it was time to pass it on once more."Take this and give this to your mother. Tell her that it was the only thing remaining of her brother". And after pushing the ring into the girls hand, he inclined his head to order his Lieutenant to take her back. The crew then watched as their loved ones sailed away, each wanting to join them once again. Only Captain Salazar looked away, his hand in his empty pocket and yet his heart had never felt heavier.

“Down!” Maria shouted just as a burst of seawater rushed for the rock she and Jack were sheltering behind, guided by the Trident in Salazar’s hands. Maria heard Jack yowling as he was caught by the burst, thrown back a good ten feet before landing on the black sand. Maria would have lunged out if she didn’t hear Salazar cackle eagerly. More water crashed from the chasm, slamming into Jack and scooping him off his feet.
What do I do?
Maria kept her back pressed to the rock, the fear that she had denied since her first sighting of the Silent Mary holding her in place. Her right hand gripped her sword tightly, but her left hand reached under her shirt to the rosary from a Spanish sailor - the reminder of who she was not.
Maria closed her fingers tightly around the little cross, somehow finding peace in the symbol of a religion she did not follow, did not believe. But the spirit of it, that she could believe.
I am not my father.

THIS WAS SO GOOD!
Wrath- 'Every stroke our fury strikes is sure to hit ourselves at last' ------ It was as though all the spite in the world slithered down his chin, it's residue thick like treacle. Wrath weaved itself to his very core, leaving nothing but rage in its wake. His figure gradually drew closer to the shaking boy who looked upon the ghost as the devil himself. A low chuckle echoed over the sound of burning wood as the Captain took a large step forwards. "What....what are you?" The young man stuttered, his grey eyes as watery as the sea below them. The Captain chuckled once more and his lips peeled apart to reveal a set of teeth drenched in the dark substance that dripped from his chin. "Death".
Javier Bardem behind the scenes!!!
What would the crew of the Silent Mary do if a mermaid casually find them while they are in the Devil's Triangle ?
“Look! Over there Captain!”
Salazar slowly emerged from his cabin, his cane clutched between his tightly wound fingers. He dragged his feet as he walked towards the source of the noise and clicked his tongue in irritation when there was nothing but darkness.
“I swear there was someone there”. Whispered the Officer sheepishly and Lieutenant Lesaro rolled his eye behind the figure, hoping the Captain would not take his anger out on the young man.
Captain Salazar was about to walk away when a splash in the dark pools below them caught his attention. His hair drifted to a halt for a brief moment before floating once more as his head moved. The Captain’s head cocked to the side as he furrowed his brow at the odd creature that was starting at them with large blue crystal like eyes. Even in the darkness they seemed to glow in an almost mesmerising way.
Salazar slowly clenched his jaw causing the dark liquid to seep from the side of his mouth. With his free hand, he wrapped his fingers around the side of the rotting carcass of the Silent Mary and leaned over to properly inspect the thing that was staring at them so blatantly. It was only seconds later when Armando straightened up, his back cracking and creaking as he regained his posture.
“Bring it on board”. Captain Salazar ordered to no one in particular. His crew all got to work and Lesaro stood closely by his Captain’s side.
“Are you sure sir?” His Lieutenant asked.
“Are you questioning me?” The Captain retorted, his eyes glowing darkly. Lesaro shook his head quickly and watched as Officer Moss and Santos returned carrying a female.
They placed her on the deck very carefully and Salazar cocked his head in confusion as the female flailed for a few seconds. The crew were shocked to see anyone living around these waters never mind something which was not human. The female had a long dark orange tail which scales shimmered against the occasional gaps of daylight that emerged from above.
Her hair was a dark golden mane with thick curls cascading down her pale back. Her kicking slowed down and the tail was quickly replaced by two slender legs. The crew gawped at her and the Lieutenant abruptly took of his jacket and covered the scantily clad woman.
“How did you get here?” Captain Salazar’s hollow voice cracked as he bent down low to make eye contact with the strange female. She shrank back at his inquisitive look and lowered her eyes.
“By accident sir”. She whispered, her voice barely audible. Captain Salazar huffed and clicked his tongue as he straightened himself up.
He gestured to the crew to surround him and Lieutenant Lesaro craned his head to hear the Captain.
“Just put her back and direct her to the exit”. He murmured and Lesaro nodded his head. Yet before they could put her back, the woman was standing on shaky legs and approached them carefully.
“Thank you Captain. My condolences to you and your crew. But I shall not forget your kindness towards myself”. She hummed and Captain Salazar laughed lowly, his actions causing the crew to glance at one another nervously. Officer Santos in particular looked at his Captain and hoped he wouldn’t change his mind.
“This is not kindness. The right thing is never kindness”. He replied and with a small nod of his head, his crew escorted her off, but not before giving the Lieutenant his jacket back which caused quite a few of the crew to avert their eyes. In fact, if it was not for there almost grey complexion they would have most definitely had been blushing.
Officer Santos afterwards noticed that the mermaid had left a golden locket behind, and gave it to the Captain wondering what they should do. Secretly Officer Moss and Santos had debated on keeping it but thought better of it. Especially as Lesaro had seen them and asked if they were intending on playing dress up.
Later that day, when the crew had all retired below deck, there conversations all about creatures of the sea, Captain Salazar stood on the stern deck dangling the golden chain between his fingers. Dragging himself to the side, he gave the golden locket one last glance and dropped it into the water below.
No one would know that the Captain later went and retrieved the locket. And no one would know that the Captain would never forget the girl with the glowing eyes.
I really love this *-* And the damn shy crew this is so cute <3
Thank you!! ☺️

What Would The Crew of the Silent Mary Do: An undead Salazar suffers an /intense/ episode of PTSD and goes into a total mental meltdown.
(As I have no experience of PTSD I have kinda changed the ask to just having Salazar have a meltdown as I don’t want to offend or miswrite something which is a serious issue- hope everyone understands ☺️)
The Captain had been acting odd, or that’s what the crew believed. The usually well kept together man had been spending a lot of his past time just staring off into space and concern was growing as the days went on.
Officer Moss had pointed out that the Captain was no longer talking as much and seemed distance. Since then the crew had been stealing glances at their Captain who began to notice their inquisitive looks.
Captain Salazar proceeded to lock himself in the remains of his cabin and the crew joined together and voted for their Lieutenant to go and ask the Captain if he was ok. They obviously all understood how the Captain would be feeling, after all, they were dead as well. It was a shock to the system.
Lesaro took a deep breath and knocked upon the cabin door. Despite being able to walk through walls, it was an act of respect to knock. However, there was no answer and beginning to worry, Lesaro walked in without thinking.
There slumped over his desk, was the figure of Captain Salazar who was holding what was left of his face in his hands. He seemed to be shaking and Lesaro got a flashback of how Officer Santos had first reacted to being dead. It had taken nearly six men to calm the officer down. They had all had brief moments of breakdowns. From shouting to crying, they had all experienced metal trauma.
But the Captain had remained almost the same. He had been angrier but the crew wouldn’t blame him as his pride had been wounded pretty horrifically.
Stepping forwards tentavily, Lesaro cleared his throat hoping that the Captain would acknowledge his presence but it had no affect. Wondering if the Captain had completely lost the plot, Lesaro walked around the desk and placed a hand on the dead mans shoulder.
“Captain, we are concerned…” Lesaro began but was interrupted by Captain Salazar slamming his hand on the table. The weeks of frustration and emotional distress which the Captain had held down so well, was beginning to crumble like the remains of the ghosts face.
“We have to get out”. Armando whispered as he ran his hand through the flowing locks which slithered around his head.
“We know Captain….” Lesaro replied, his eye flickering about frantically, wondering what he could do to help his Captain. It was frightful seeing the one person who always seemed so in control to be at a total loss. And for the crews sake, Lesaro hoped they would not witness the Captains breakdown.
Lesaro stood still as the infamous Captain stood up abruptly and paced the remains of the cabin like a tiger which was locked in a cage. Armando growled lowly in his throat as reality was dawning on him in crashing waves of rage and searing heartbreak. His wounded pride was nothing matched by the feeling of complete hopelessness. Very slowly his pacing diminished and Lesaro was shocked to see the Captain go back to his chair and slump into it.
“Leave me. Get out and leave me”. Captain Salazar whispered, the dark liquid trickling down his chin and through the cracks of his porcelain skin. At first Lesaro didn’t move but was startled by a rapier being thruster inches away from his chest.
“I SAID GET OUT”. The Captain all but screamed, his hollow voice cracking with the wrath that radiated from his imposing figure. Lesaro hurriedly left the cabin and was sure he heard loud bangs and crashes in his wake.
Lesaro ordered the men to stay away from the Captain as he needed his own solitude. And for a few days no one dared seek out their Captain. When Armando did appear however, he looked resilient and calm.
But it was a calmness that occurred just before a storm. A storm the crew did not wish to ride.

“Redcoats!” the Pearl’s watchman shouted deep in the night; Maria was willing to stay up on this late watch if only to enjoy the quiet that had now been broken. “Redcoats, starboard aft!”
“Ai, wake up!” Maria roared, stomping on the quarterdeck before spinning the wheel to turn the Falcon to port, then quickly back to starboard. The motion would be sharp enough to shake most of her men from sleep. “British Navy, on the attack, cannons ready!”
She stomped again as the hatches burst open, spilling out her crew as they ran to their positions, loading cannon. A galleon like the Pearl as well as the Falcon would be a steady match for the approaching British vessel, Maria estimated. Time might not be on their side, but at the very least driving it off would help.

A/N: And we start the week with an alternate perspective! This was a surprisingly tricky bit to write, given how I’ve characterize the narrator in fic and such, but I think it came out well! Gone. The pirates were gone. That devil Barbossa had used him, this was why one could never trust a pirate - and now Barbossa and Sparrow were on the run, chasing a legend as if that would protect them from him! They would not be hard to follow, not with the Silent Mary.
It was the second ship that, under the hate and hunger and rage, made Armando Salazar uneasy. The few scraps of the man he had been did not want to find the Falcon again. Find her alongside Sparrow and Barbossa when his rage would be at its peak, when his power would not be denied.
Maria.
Her name crawled over his skin like a chill, clenching whatever was left of his long-dead heart. Salazar ground his teeth and snarled, the black liquid that had replaced his living blood gushing between his teeth and over his chin. He felt the divide inside him, the hatred fueled by the unnatural demon that the Mary had awoken against the specks of the man he had been in life. Specks that had slowly knit together with those little boats, as each one bobbed into the Triangle and so quietly reached him.
Salazar ignored the pricks of starlight beginning to light the sky as he left the Mary’s course to Lesaro - he would have control when they found Sparrow - and limped in silent agony to the door of his cabin. A door he could no longer cross in safety, but one he had to see. Just inside the frame he could count the boards, one from nearly each little boat that had been lifted to the Mary’s deck, and when he squinted he could see the symbols carved on them.
The constant ones he had ripped apart because of the feelings they woke in him, though the Mary somehow preserved one board to add to his cabin. Salazar watched the boards and felt the heat of life - a life well-lived, a life worth the living - in the air above them. Invisible flames he, being dead, could not pass. The very first he had saved, casting it back into the water when they were free. That one…that one was different. There had been innocence in it, something…pure.
Where is it now, he thought with a scowl at the boards. Where is that innocence? It was destroyed, by pirates, as they ruin everything.
Unless, if Salazar dwelled on it, she had not been consumed by the infection of piracy. The warmth of her fire on the main deck as she spoke with the crew, her foolhardy exploration of the mainmast, the kindness she had given to Barbossa’s pirates - that was from her mother, Salazar knew, something that hadn’t been lost when a filthy pirate took his child aboard ship. Something that had endured her own piracy.
She is one of them. She will die after the Sparrow, like all the others. They cannot hide now, cannot run.
But she was his child. Salazar could feel it in his bones, had seen the boat in her hand when the Mary had first come upon the small brig. There had been no one following him or Rebeca that night, that night. The color of her eyes was Rebeca’s but their shape was his, his smile tucked across Rebeca’s mouth.
His child. Had he become such a monster that he would consider killing his child? Yes, perhaps he would have killed her had she not displayed the boat, but had she been the one survivor…
A pirate. My daughter.
End her. Save her. By my hand. From me.
Rage at his indecision granted Salazar a swell of power, and he howled before slashing his sword across the doorframe. The blade did no damage to the wood, nearly bouncing back in his face, and the attack did nothing to soothe him. Only blood and ending Jack Sparrow could do that. For that chance alone he would kill any pirate he had to.
Any pirate.
This was so gooooooood! Loved the part with the 'her name crawled over his skin like a chill'!!!!

Imagine if the Devil’s Triangle was the home of the seven deadly sins and they each possessed a member of the crew….
Salazar would definitely be Wrath “Act nothing in furious Passion; it’s putting to Sea in a Storm”
But potentially Pride as well “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall”
Or lust *cough*…
I can’t even argue with that
Lesaro is definitely envy. The way he looks at Salazar’s hair… it’s obvious he wants the hair for himself
I can't argue with that either haha
Wrath "How much more grievous are the consequences of anger than the causes of it"
