Veronica couldn’t help but perk up her eyebrow as she listened to his reaction to bungee jumping. “There are other things besides bungee jumping that you could do - it was just one example,” she said, shrugging her shoulders lightly. “It seems to me like you could probably use a little bit more adventure in your life.” There had been a time where Vee had seen enough ‘adventure,’ but she had never been afraid to try something. She wanted to make sure that her life had been at least worth living, and she did all that she could.

          HE SHOOK HIS HEAD NO. “I think I’ve had enough adventure in my life.” Even though he hadn’t had much, he never wanted much to start with. “Flying all the way out here to start a career is enough, I don’t need to put my life in any more peril or do anything more risky. Adventure is... it’s dangerous, and it doesn’t appeal much to me.”

She had initially kept her tone pretty light, and she thought her smile would’ve given her away as joking, but Vee was starting to see that he didn’t seem to realize that at all when he questioned it. “Getting a tattoo’s a pretty big deal. I wouldn’t do it unless you’re absolutely sure.” She paused, trying to come out with counter suggestions for this ‘coward’ issue he was having. “Maybe try something a little less permanent - bungee jumping? It’ll get you a thrill without being permanent.” 

          ‘I THINK I’D RATHER TRY MY LUCK with the needles--” Bungee jumping? At least with a tattoo, he may be humiliated for life, but he wouldn’t be dead! “The cord could snap, or, i could get tangled up in it and choke, or, something horrible could happen- I can’t take that risk. Thrill seeking isn’t really for me, I’m just in it for the pretty patterns.”

“Nobody will tie you down and force you down to get one,” Veronica said, keeping her tone light considering she could tell he seemed a little worked up. Vee couldn’t even tell you the man’s name, but she felt bad continuing to walk by him when he clearly needed someone to hash out his decision with. She wasn’t squeamish personally, but she also wasn’t someone who would just randomly get a tattoo. It had to be purposeful and come with some sort of thought. She didn’t want to end up getting a tattoo that she’d regret and think was stupid in twenty years. “Don’t get one if you’re going to regret it.”

          OH GOD-- HE HOPED NOT, that would be the worst! She’d just implanted a brand new fear into his mind, and he’d already been dealing with so many already. “They wont? I mean, they won’t good. I’m glad they won’t because I’m really, really not sure about this.” He responds. “I am worried I’ll regret it, but for once in my life I’d rather have something beautiful instead of being a coward. I’m always a coward.”

Georgie was out with her new roommate, Fabi, needing a night to get to know him well and enjoy not having to work for once. “It’s not that bad once you get past the initial pain.” She had one little tattoo on her wrist that she got during her junior year of college. “You don’t need to get one if you don’t need to,” She told him.

          HE TURNS TO FACE HER. “Oh, but I’m-- really bad at choices you see, what if I decide to get one and then I regret it? What if the pain is too much and I give up halfway, and have a half-finished monstrosity on myself permanently because I’m too mentally scarred by the pain to attempt to get it completed? What if the artist makes a mistake?” His mind came up with a plethora of worries to ponder, and he was over dramatic as always. “Maybe I’d just better not-- oh, but they’re so pretty...”

          JUST EVEN PASSING BY the shop made him feel sort of sick... He was so squeamish when it came to needles. Yes, the results were beautiful, and he’d always wanted to get one of the intricate designs on his skin, but-- the process scared him far too much. He paced back and forth in front of the shop, trying to make up his mind and spark up some courage. “How do people even tolerate getting these things?”
