It was after school hours and most all of the students, if not the faculty had gone home by now. But the weather was beautiful and Rin didn’t particularly feel like she needed to be at home, where her parents would urge her to open a book or pick up her violin. Practice, study,…

At the sound of Mrik’s voice, Rin snapped her head up and looked in the direction. Spotting her friend being dragged around by her little guide-kazeiru, Rin smiled and called out to let Mrik know she was there.

Folding down the corner page of her book, Rin closed it and set it on the ground beside her, holding her hand out to the curious little pet.

“Want to sit with me and just enjoy the solitude?” Rin asked, glancing up at her friend.

Mrik's ears twitched, and she smiled. "Ah, Rin. Thank goodness, I thought the little twit was chasing a stray Meowclops or something."

The aforementioned "little twit" nuzzled Rin's outstretched hands, and Mrik sat down, adjusting her skirts and smiling. "I'd love to. It sounds very pleasant out today."

RP-Open?

It was after school hours and most all of the students, if not the faculty had gone home by now. But the weather was beautiful and Rin didn’t particularly feel like she needed to be at home, where her parents would urge her to open a book or pick up her violin. Practice, study, practice, study. She just felt like having some down time.

So she decided to park herself beneath a willow tree, her favorite tree in fact, and read for pleasure, for once. It was peaceful. The sun was starting to hang low, the breeze was nice and cool and birds chirped their song as she sat with her legs folded under her, her back against the tree, totally absorbed in her fiction novel.

For once, she was oblivious to the world around her.

Mrikuni emerged from the school, enjoying the instant switch from frigid air conditioning to warm sun. And if the noises Izanami was making were any indication, it was a gorgeous day out. Chirping birds, wind swishing branches of the nearby willows, and the faded distant sounds of urban civilization painted a nice little picture in her mind. School was out. Time to relax.

Of course, Izanami may have been a bit TOO relaxed. She sniffed once, caught the nearby scent of Rin, and began chirping ecstaticly, tugging so hard and fast that Mrik lost her grip on the harness and the little Kazeriu shot over to the willow tree, eager for some petting.

"Wha-Izanami?! What are you doing?!" Mrik cried out, ears flicking forward in the hopes of figuring out what had caught the little petpet's attention.

Sorry if we've been a bit...anti-social these past two weeks. Some of us have had workplace troubles, and after a certain "event" the weekend before school started, we've been trying to regain a sense of peace and quiet. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon.      -Mrikuni
