V and Tam's relationship: a history

V and Tam first met three years ago, when V was in 9th grade and Tam was in 7th. V, trying to prove herself as a freshman, got in a fight with the wrong person and wound up being chased by their entire gang. She managed to escape into an abandoned building but was cornered on one of the upper floors. Tam, meanwhile, was running away from home (again) to escape the pressures of her family, and happened to witness the whole thing. She was immediately smitten with V, seeing her as a beautiful princess in need of rescue. While V picked off the goons one by one inside the building, Tam took care of the few left to guard the entrance, and they met just outside. 

V couldn't help feeling a bit of gratitude for her assistance, so somehow Tam finagled her way into staying at V's house. Both their parents are quite wealthy, so it turns out they lived in the same neighborhood. In a few days Tam's parents realized she was missing and came looking for her, which worked out well as V was starting to get tired of being called "princess."

Not long after that they started dating. Since they didn't go to the same school they couldn't see each other during the day, but they spent all their available free time together. Sometimes V would even skip class to go hang out at the middle school. After a while they started to get on each other's nerves. V sees Tam as too high energy and immature, while Tam thinks V is too serious, not to mention old! Eventually, after a few months of avoiding each other like the plague, they forget why they were ever fighting and get back together.

Things really intensified last year when Tam started going to neohigh. When they broke up, they had screaming matches in the halls. Things got so bad they couldn't even be put in detention together or they would start fighting all over again. But after enough time being apart they would always start up again.

They had a big break-up over the summer and only recently started dating again, so they're still in the "lovey-dovey" phase of their relationship. Anyone who has been following the drama knows this can't last, and is eagerly awaiting the inevitable fireworks, perhaps with bowls of popcorn at the ready.

V couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought of Hai frolicking among the flowers. Maybe if they were really punk flowers made out of metal or something…

“Maybe that would help, y’know. Flowers, nature, that kinda junk. Make you less high strung, maybe?” She leaned forward as she put her chin on her hand. “I’m hardly one to talk, though. Looking at any sorta relaxing stuff just pisses me off. And nothing takes the edge off like a good fight. It’s like I got my wires crossed or something.”

“Eh, maybe? Hell, I am disco, so…” he paused, grinning when she mentioned fights, “But ya’ right about fights. Even a punching bag can’t replace tha’ steam ya’ blow off when ya’ throwin’ punches with one arm and defendin’ with tha’ otha’.” He noticed that the hall outside of the room seemed to be empty, “… Wouldn’t mind practicin’ a bit, would ya’?”

Her eyes lit up. "Yeah, absolutely! And it's not like we can get detention in detention." She stood up, bouncing lightly on the balls of her feet and throwing a few practice jabs. "You wanna do a quick sparring match, or maybe we could work on our wrestling moves? We're both on the team this year right?"

He sees it as a challenge for a while to win over Aurora, but eventually he decides she annoys him too much and goes back to easier targets.

How would Grath react if he was hit on by another boy?

I have been thinking about this like every day for over a week now (assuming you’re the same anon who asked Grath about a love confession from a male student?) and I still don’t have a good answer.

He would definitely react negatively, I’m just not sure how obnoxious he would be. If he were hit on the way he hits on women, well… there would definitely be a fight happening.

Grath Facts #1

Grath is a HUGE nerd although he would never admit it. He often throws out fandom references and quotes and becomes awkwardly confused when no one gets it. Although when someone does understand he pretends he has no idea what they're talking about. 

If he meets someone who shares one of his interests he will do his best to avoid them publicly, but may be willing to meet in secret to discuss the topic in detail.

Okay it feels awkward saying this since I've only talked like once about character relationships with someone, but I've always somehow imagined Aurora and Grath as being frenemies(not sure if I'm using this term correctly). It's like- Aurora doesn't like Grath because she got this bad image of him after seeing him flirt with a lot of girls, but I don't know how Grath would feel about her though. I guess in terms of outer beauty Aurora's pretty average, but she can be considered beautiful when she smiles(woah instant manga plot). It's hard to explain, but I guess it's like this feeling you get when there's someone you utterly despise but still hang out with because they're the only ones who actually bother to talk to you. What do you think? (Also couldn't put this in ask because it was too long darn it)

Yeah I can see something like that! I'd love if we can work out the details.

Grath dates primarily for what he can get out of a relationship (i.e. money, homework, and prestige) so he mostly only cares about beauty because other people will think he's cool for dating a beautiful/popular girl. If Aurora has money, or if he can manage to get math/science homework from her he'd definitely be interested.

I can definitely imagine him getting smitten when she smiles, but ONLY when she smiles so it's like instant attitude change. That would be hilarious.
