See, the reason Roman is so upset about Janus being accepted is because it’s going against those still-same morals he was going on about this whole time.  He’s trusted Patton since the beginning, since the Split, to know what’s happening.  He’s trusted in Patton’s judgement.

But now he’s realized that Patton isn’t infallible, and the thought of it terrifies him.  Because, just like they’ve always been told Deceit is bad, they’ve been told that Roman is good.  That he’s the hero, that he’s the prince, that he’s beloved and right and perfect.

But Patton is admitting he’s been wrong before.  If he’s wrong about Deceit being bad, who’s to say he isn’t wrong about Remus being bad? 

Who’s to say he isn’t wrong about Roman being good?  Being the hero?  Being needed?  Being loved?

So of course he’s angry.  Of course he doesn’t want to trust Deceit, especially after that Remus jab.

After all, if the one they all called evil is good, what does that mean for the one they all called good?

You ever notice that Roman is shutting himself off from the others and questioning his entire role?  You ever notice he might be going rogue?  You ever notice the black slot in the thumbnail, the one we’re assuming belongs to Orange fits Roman perfectly?  You ever notice how you can get orange by mixing green and red?  You ever notice how the very moral system that did the split in the first place is now undone?
