What we not gonna do during PRIDE FUCKING MONTH is use queer people for profit. Billie has gone on record saying that she is straight, and therefore this scene should not even have happened.

Not to mention the model is wearing fake lips (which is racist, but we’ll get to there). But why unjustly profit by having a wlw kiss Billie if you’re gonna not actually kiss her lips? You’re just kissing her BIG RED FAKE LIPS!

THESE LIPS ARE RACIST (and no one can tell me different).

And yeah the black model is not the only one wearing the lips, but the other person is also clearly POC. It is wrong to have BIPOC wearing BIG ASS RED LIPS when there are racist caricatures of black people depicting them that way stemming back to the Jim Crow era.

Not to mentioned that there is an over sexualization of black women. They are seen as sexual products dating back to slavery when slave owners would look at their hips and try to determine if they would be able to have more slave babies. Like cmon Billie do ur research?! She must have known this was not okay.

As a queer black person watching this I felt extremely uncomfortable, and I can’t believe that no one is talking about this. All people are talking about is her hanging with her gal pals, and the fact that she’s wearing SKIMS.

I’m not saying cancel Billie, but I’m saying we can’t pretend that this is okay. Like WTF? Stop idolizing her and realize that she’s done wrong.
