Some things to start with:
I have read the Anthony C. Yu translation of JTTW.
I am a white American so if I get something wrong please let me know and I will try to correct it. (Although the English dub names are kind of stuck with me)
I ship Red Son/Mei a lot, and like Pigsy/Tang
Not big on M@c@que/Sh@dowpe@ch tbh (just an opinion)
I am probably not going to follow people tbh but feel free to share some thoughts if you want (as long as you’re nice)

I love Mei, but i think we do need to accept she is a Rich Kid™️ I am pretty sure she does not have a real job, and she wanted MK to hang out w her lots of nights despite the fact that he does. Or getting on him to get a new car when he lives in a little apartment and i dont even know if it has parking or anything unlike her huge garage filled with cars she's not allowed to to drive.
I really think that sometimes she can just be like:
I feel like Mei and MK definitely have fun trying to test Red Son's pop culture knowledge. You can never be sure of what he's heard of and what he hasn't. Like I think he called Sandy a Smurf in the S2 special Mandarin dub which is very funny to me.

I wonder if Princess Iron Fan ever had to deal with annoying unwanted admirers while Demon Bull King was imprisoned, a la Penelope from The Odyssey? And poor Red Son... living with his parents, he probably saw/heard things he did not want to after their reunion

really funny when I look at people who liked my M@c@que criticism post and they have M@c@que/Sh@dowpe@ch on their blog like it really is dire out there huh 💀💀💀
i know the show seems to be sticking to using characters from JTTW, but honestly I think it would be funny if we got one villain who had nothing to do with Monkey King stuff and just beefed w MK, like for a minor baddie
I think this could a good FreeNoodles song tbh. They supporting each other and MK as they try dealing with all of the sudden changes in their lives. They might have been pretty ordinary before, but they want to be there for their loved ones!

What thoughts do people have for a human name for Red Son? I suppose he could have the last name Wang from Demon Bull King/Niú Mówáng (Wang/王 means 'King')

I want to imagine a scenario of MK and Mei trying to get the others to react to pop culture versions of themselves, maybe for one of Mei's streams or something.
i would love a scene where MK ends up attending one of Mei's family holiday celebrations, or the least it would be a fun fic.
He had Tang and Pigsy, and possibly their relatives, I doubt that would prepare him for a full-on family gathering like that, since I can only imagine the Dragon Clan is big.
Although of course some of the relatives might think he's Mei's boyfriend and that would be awkward.
I love Mei and MK being so close and physically affectionate but with no romance between them. They're the definition of platonic soulmates and it's so good.
