purebloodxjocelyn:
Joey just had a long flight, and was dealing with jet leg - for starters. The drinks offered on the flight weren’t all that great, she was craving chocolate, and the last time she had a decent coffee was before she even knew she would be coming here. Needless to say, she was in a frustrated mood, all while trying to justify not going right to Melinda with wanting to get to know the place and not being able to find her. Instead, she kicked a vending machine that ate her money, and didn’t produce the chocolate bar. “There’s not enough coffee in the world for this.” She grumbled out, groaning as she hit the machine again.
Delphina was making her way in the store, when a loud sound reached her ears. The brunette’s eyebrows frowned with curiosity and she walked towards the source of the sound. At last, she spotted a woman kicking the vending machine and literally hollowing the metal of the machine on the side because of it. “For fuck’s sake, let me try,” she huffed, before delivering a swift kick to its side. A few items almost fell, but in the end none did. The brunette stared at the machine before shrugging her shoulders indifferently and turning to eye the woman. “Eh. At least I didn’t damage the thing.”
alexbeaumont:
“Oh shit I don’t know what to tell you, I didn’t do it man.” she replied, holding her hands up in surrender. “Just as innocent as you are.”
Delphina looked up from her electric instrument to glare at the woman suggestively. “So my piano scratched itself, then,” she shot back, arching her eyebrows, quietly demanding some sort of explanation. Even if she weren’t responsible, she was sitting right next to the stage so she must’ve seen something.
lcreleii:
“DICK, you better have a good reason,” she announced a bit too loudly, hanging up her phone after having gone to voicemail three times already. who even left voicemail messages anymore? lorelei, apparently, since the friend she’d made plans with couldn’t be bothered to answer one of her calls or reply to one of her texts. after having waited around for a bit, it became increasingly clearer that she was going to have to make it a solo outing. oh well. she’d manage. with a not so great start to the night, sure, but lori had dealt with worse ones. waving over the bartender, she requested her second drink of the night. while she waited for it to be served, she glanced over at the person beside her and noted that their glass was nearly empty. “and how about a refill for them?” she nodded towards their glass, flashing a winsome smile. first step towards turning a night around? good company.
Besides the irritated warning of the woman sitting right next to her, Delphina was having a quiet night and, honestly, she didn’t like it very much. When she didn’t occupy herself by doing things and people, her mind drifted back to the terrifying reality that she was living and working in a nest of creatures who’d love to dry her of blood or skin her alive with their claws. She’d made her choice, and she wouldn’t let fear make it regret it. Nothing was most important than her brother, after all; nothing at all. Thus, in an attempt to ease the unnecessary worries that peeked through her brain, she downed her vodka in a couple large sips and wiped the remainings off her mouth with the opposite of her palm. She was about to order for another one, when the irritated blonde from earlier bought one for her. Delphi glanced over to her, whilst placing her elbows against the wooden counter. “Thanks,” she said before taking a guess. “Someone stood you up?”
gabewindsxr:
“I think I just…” Gabe shook his head as he spun around and wandered down the hall. Looking up his eyes widened. “I wouldn’t go down there if I were you… I mean unless you’re into watching public displays of.. affection?”
Delphina’s steps came into a halt when a man turned back around from the hall she planned on entering. Her eyebrows arched at his warning, her head tilted slightly on the side. She actually was very into that, at least in the way he implied, but she wouldn’t let him know that. “Don’t tell me there are people down there hopping each other like bunnies? What a shock,” she stated whilst widening her eyes momentarily. Honestly, she wouldn’t be complaining if the vast majority of the public hook-ups she’d witnessed didn’t involve drinking blood, flying furniture and deep wolf howls.
catherinezhang:
“I really think that I should have the map when I try to go somewhere. I hate getting lost.” She said, turning around and bumping to someone. “Oh so sorry! I honestly wasn’t paying attention.”
“---Ow!” Delphina flinched when a woman who’d been mumbling to herself as she walked in front of her in the hallway, turned around and bumped into her. “Yeah, a better sense of your surroundings could help, too,” she muttered, showing that she heard what she said earlier. “But it’s fine.”
wesleyward:
Wesley finished clearing off a spill that had occurred moments before, the rag damp in his hands as he focused on the liquor on the counter rather than the customers in front of him. Sighing, he threw the rag in the designated bucket of water, looking up at his company as he leaned against the lip of the counter. “What can I get for you?” Wesley asked, eyebrow raising as he smirked suggestively.
The last chords echoed through the bar and Delphina’s voice softened as she sang the last note, singing the end of the song; the end of the night. “Thank you,” she nodded appreciatively towards the applauding crowd. When a bunch yelled towards her way for yet another song, the brunette smirked slightly and said into the microphone “You gotta be patient ‘till tomorrow for that. ‘Night,” before sitting up from the electric piano and heading to the bar. There, Wesley asked what he could get her so she threw him an exasperated look in response. “Still didn’t get the memo?” She’d been ordering a double vodka cranberry with lots of ice, every single night for the past month.
