New Ties || Delta, Absinthe & Victory || D12 Suite
Absinthes cheeriness makes me cringe a little but I keep it hidden and watch themm both. So theyāve already discussed this? Interesting.
I nod slowly once, āIāll join you, as long as you - Absinthe - stop sounding like a capitolite taking too many happy pills, otherwise some alterations will have to be made to your voice box.ā I smiled sweetly as I looked at her, the act needed to be dropped and soon if she valued her vocal chords.
I looked at them both and raised an eyebrow, āAm I being asked to ally with you only on account of having a high score or are we all agreed that we can and will cause a lot of destruction as a team?ā
I smirk, a devilish look appearing in my eyes. āThatās all I needed to hear, Victory dear. Now I can drop this goddamn annoying ass act, at least until someone other than you two makes an appearance,ā I state.Ā
"Oh, private training means nothing to me. Itās what you do in action, and Iāve seen you both in action. And Iām pretty fucking sure that I like what Iāve seen, otherwise you two wouldnāt be here right now," I reply to Victory. Getting a nine means the bitch has pretty skills that the gamemakers like to see. I value the skills people have when they get down and dirty. And both of these bitches have them.Ā
"And we will be wreaking havoc in the arena as a terrifying ass team," I conclude.Ā
I roll my eyes, completely and utterly towards private training scores. "So you mean to tell me that your score, determined by a set of rules that will in no way be in effect in the arena would even for a moment affect my judgement. Please, give us some credit." I reply joking sarcastically. They told us we can only sue three items and were not allowed to kill or even harm anyone in there by penalty of severe punishment. In my eyes, that determines nothing.
I was glad to see Absinthe facade melt away once more. Even though I knew it was an act, its still tiring. "I was pleasantly surprised by both of you in training." I looked at Victory alone. "I didn't want to kill you instantly, and you're a career." I shrug "I guess that means we had a lot in common.
"At this point, I'm more eager for the arena than ever. Im sick of watching these good little boys and girls prance around with each other making nice, and being friendly. So I've taken it upon myself, and now you two, to change all that bullshit and tear through the arena with absolutely no mercy." I smiled at my new team. My voice didn't change for a second, it remained in the same tone, the same icy malignancy as always.Ā
New Ties || Delta, Absinthe & Victory || D12 Suite
I almost laugh at the way Absinthe calls us over but I keep myself composed, weāre all acting here, for now anyway. I walk with Delta and sit next to her, folding my hands in front of me, this should certainly be an interesting meeting.
For non-careers their scores were good, and having trained with them both I knew that they were talented, if I was going to ally with anyone it would be them.
I looked at Absinthe with a slight smirk, āI assume weāre here to discuss an alliance?ā I glanced at Delta for a moment, āIf thatās the case Iām listening.ā I crossed my legs and leant back slightly, considering the alliance before the conversation had even begun. There was no doubt in my mind that we could cause a lot of problems for a lot of people. It was a thought that made me happy.
I intend to possess a hell of a lot of power in the arena, and this alliance will supply me with it. We have the brains, the brawn, and the skill. Together, we shall surely be able to utterly fuck up anyone who dares cross our path. At this point, Iām itching to fucking rip out someoneās eyeballs and shove them down their throat.Ā
"You stand corrected, Victory! I would like to propose an alliance indeed. You, Delta, and I!" I exclaim. "Do you both agree?" I inquire. The bitches better do so. Otherwise Iām coming after them the first chance I get.Ā
Iāll wait until Victory agrees to ally with Delta and I before I reveal my true nature. If she likes me as I am now (I canāt fucking imagine how goddamn annoying I must seem) then sheāll most definitely like me once she sees how much of a psychotic bitch I am. I can imagine that sheāll pride me on my clever strategy.
I glance at both Absinthe and Victory. Both are amazing competitors and I can see myself wreaking absolute havoc with these two in the arena. I intended to only ally myself with those who I see are strongest, no matter their private training score, or if a sponsor chooses them. I do not believe thats what will make someone strong, but their own will to live.
"You and I have had this discussion once already Absinthe, you know my answer." I pause to look to my side at Victory. "Now the question is if Victory will join us." Absinthe and I had already made this agreement. And Victory would make an excellent addition to this team.Ā
New Ties || Delta, Absinthe & Victory || D12 Suite
Waking up in the ridiculous hours of the morning is nothing new to me, but being woken because someone else requested my presence? Definitely new. Since it was the girl from 12 I was equally confused, although, it was incredibly early so I could forgive myself.
I go slowly, as usual, and take my time in making myself look presentable. Managing to make myself some toast and eat it before stepping into the elevator. Only Nixie would know I was gone and that was fine by me.
I raked my fingers through my hair one last time before finally stepping out of the elevator, Delta is already there and I can only assume she has knocked, so I stand next to her. I glance at her and nod slightly as a greeting, itās too early to talk to people with a civil tongue and this particular person doesnāt make me want to skin myself, Iād quite like to keep it that way. The wait for the door to open is completely silent.
I awaken early in the morning with a plan in mind. I always have a plan in mind. However this particular plan requires the presence of others. I command my dumbass fucking escort to request the presences of Delta Lantieri and Victory Mason. Their private trainings scores have proved that they are both capable of wondrous destruction. Now is the time to align both of them with myself.Ā
I am swift in preparing myself for their arrivals. I shower and dress in a comfortable garb before seating myself on the couch, and crossing my legs. I clutch a warm mug of tea in my lithe fingers. Obviously thereās a bit more than fucking tea in this mug.Ā
I make sure that the repulsive Kav is nowhere to be found. That asshole will not be privy to what is about to occur.Ā
I hear a knock. As if Iāll get up. An avon opens the door. Victory and Delta step through the threshold.Ā
"Over here ladies!" I exclaim. Soon I shall be able to do away with this awful fucking facade, if only for a brief moment.
Victory arrives at the suite not a moment after I knock on the door. I nod in return to Victory. I respected her, and wouldn't mind her as a partner in the Games, which I'm positive is why we're both here at Absinthe door. However I worry that she will decide against any sort of alliance with me given my horrible training score, and hers the highest of the tributes. But I will let her plan her games as she sees fit, I hope for her own self that she does not turn Absinthe and I down, however.
The door swings open and silent woman answers, quickly followed by the sound of an artificial Absinthe echoing in my ears. I glance at Victory, wondering if she knows of the true Absinthe. But I don't dwell on this too long, as Im sure thats to change.
I enter, accompanied by Victory, and make my way over to Absinthe. I sit on the couch opposite from Absinthe and smirk. "Morning ladies, now why have you demanded our presence so god damn early Twelve?"
New Ties || Delta, Absinthe & Victory || D12 Suite
In the early hours of the morning, i am shaken awake by Lise and the other one. Lise demands that I get up and get ready, that I have to go up to the district 12 suite cause Absinthe has requested Victory and I. I roll my eyes as Im still filled with rage over my pile of shit of a private training score. But that is merely fuel for the carnage to come.
I shower leisurely and dress before I exit my bedroom and enter the living area. The other kid sits at the table, nervous as ever, and with him are Lise and... I don't know, the other bitch. i don't stop to chat since I soon rather skin myself with a spatula and quickly exit my suite and head towards the elevator.
I push the button and ride the machine up to the twelfth floor. I calmly knock on the door marked with a 12 and wait for 'bubbles' to swing it open.Ā
district five:
Delta LantieriĀ with a score ofĀ six
Combative Comrades || Hand-to-Hand || Delta & Absinthe
"Fine by me. I only want these other incompetent competitors to think of me as the exuberant as fuck Absinthe, not Absinthe the rebel. I can trust that you as well hate the Capitol?" I say in a hushed whisper to Delta.Ā
"Additionally, you can either join forces with me, or I will go after you in the arena, now that you know my little secret. I donāt prefer the latter, to be honest, but Iāll stay true to my word if need be," I threaten with a wide smile. I sure as hell canāt have the sponsors and game makers watching seeing me break character. Not yet.Ā
"Id use the term 'competitors' lightly there, not a veryĀ threateningĀ bunch, now are they." I say calmly in response. And i believe my words to be true. Ive met nothing but good little boys and girl, either that or arrogant pricks that already think they've won. and I can't wait to be the wake up call they need.
"Are you proposing an alliance, sweet Absinthe?" I inquire. "Cause if you are, just know that Id sooner throw myself off a balcony than ally with a preppy annoyance such as yourself." I say a bit louder than my usual tone, but add a wink to show that my words hold nothing but lies. In case any prying ears are upon us.
Short Leap || Urban Biome || Delta & Kaffira
"Damn. Youāre right there, arenāt you.." I weakly smiled, having my fantasy crushed. "Wait. All they do is make shit nice for us, only to have it blow up in our face when we start to enjoy it.."
I kick my foot against the building we are perched on top of, and looked around the large room, wondering how in earth they built this. āIād love to blow this fucking place up now I think about it.ā The city wasnāt really for meā¦
"They're all assholes. Even these fucking trainers here. They're assholes too. Our president is an asshole. The Gamemakers are assholes, and everyone who watches the games out of enjoyment are assholes." I say calmly and monotonically.
I shrug as I glance at Kaffira. "That would be ideal, then I could just walk out of here and go home so I can kill my father." I respond.
More my Speed || Throwing Knives | Delta & Victory
Ā I smiled at her and raised an eyebrow, āPleasantly surprised actually, youāre a good shot, more than I was expecting from a district a little further away than my own.ā It was the gospel trouth too, I was impressed, it was usually only careers that managed to get the shot to stick on the first throw, that was the moment I decided that I liked this girl.
"Itās nice to meet you, and yeah, Iām from district two, my nameās Victoryā¦Apparently itās āfittingā somehow." I rolled my eyes slightly before stepping forwards to take another shot, this one landing a little more central than the first one.
I shrugged at her comment. "Yea well, when you have Ā jackass of a father like mine then you'll understand." I said not in a rude way. It was true that he taught me things that would be useful here, but that didn't mean I was grateful for it. I honestly can't wait to see him die painfully. But Victory wasn't a career type career, if she was one at all, which i liked.
"Ive met a few district specific named tributes here, you're not the only one." I say, thinking about my yoga session with Glisten yesterday. "nice shot, a lot better." I said encouragingly as I took my turn. My second knife digging in just above Victory's
Short Leap || Urban Biome || Delta & Kaffira
I can imagine having a cold drink and a nice warm bite to eat up ear, with a cool breeze blowing over my face, if not then, then I wouldnāt even mind being here whilst the sun sets, thatās gotta be nice.Ā
"That sounds pretty shit. But the most I ever saw of the night was in winter, when it got dark earlier. I just wonder what itād be like here with the buildings blocking the way of different natural lighting is all."Ā
I try to imagine what the change of seasons looks like. All the smog and pollution has permanently halted the shift from one to the other. the only thing that changes is when it gets darker, and I never knew that thats when winter was supposed to be.
"Id be nice, but this light isn't natural, that sunset wouldn't occur cause theres no sun inside the giant room we are in. The breeze is artificial and the warmth of the sun is as well." I can't help but look at the glass being ha;f empty, cause it always was for me.
Combative Comrades || Hand-to-Hand || Delta & Absinthe
I start laughing-and not my cheerful giggle, my real, bold and brazen laugh-at this girlās reaction. Who knew that Delta, who fucking hated me beforehand, would love me now.Ā
"Yeah, I fucking am, I suppose. I like to inflict pain, and I can take it as well," I tell Delta.Ā
"So, bitch, can I trust that you wonāt go blabbing your big-ass mouth to everyone about me?" I ask.Ā
I smirk. Genuinely elated that this bitch wasn't really some annoying happy girl that was all smiles. I couldn't stand the sight of her not two minutes ago, and now I'm enjoying this new company.
"Okay, I won't tell any of these worthless attempts at competitors, if you don't tell them that you beat me. Cant have them knowing some happy, bubbly bitch put a scratch on me." I replied
Combative Comrades || Hand-to-Hand || Delta & Absinthe
I cling to the edge of the catwalk. Something about this fucking bitch makes me want to reveal my true self to her. Weāre so goddamn alike. Violent, rebels, skillful. I know if I play my cards right, this bitch wonāt talk, and Iāll have her on my side.Ā
"You canāt get rid of me that easily, bitch," I state calmly as I hoist myself back up. I stare at her, a wicked smirk dancing across my lips.Ā
I wait for the environment to change back to whatever absinthes next choice was, but it doesn't. Im confused until I here her over the edge of the cat walk. I cough cause I amĀ thatĀ surprised at what I heard.
She pulls herself back up and stands in front of me. A smirk across her face. A smirk that does not appear on Absinthes face. She is an annoying happy littl- but then it hits me. I realize it and a sinister smile blossoms on my face. That explains the tattoos, and that explains the pain tolerance on this girl.
She is tough, cynical, she doesn't take any bullshit, and is a skilled killer. Maybe I was wrong about this girl, actually I definitely was, cause now i feel like we could be friends.Ā
I cross my arms and lean on my leg, my grin still glowing. "Well, well you really are one tough bitch." I say with a wink.
Short Leap || Urban Biome || Delta & Kaffira
She had quite a firm grip on my hand as she shook it. There was no way I was coming out of this. I laughed internally, having accepted my fate the day it was locked in, then turned to her, and placed one of my feet on the roof, using it as an elbow rest.
"The pleasure is all mine." I chuckled, then looked out over the fake skyline. "You know. If we werenāt in this current situation, then shit wouldnāt be so bad. Bet this looks nice at night time."
I look out into the skyline as well and I can't get a feeling of beauty from it, I know its too fake. Ive never seen something beautiful, the last thing I kew to be, was my mother. And that load of shit stole her from me too. Just as he's stolen everything else. And I will make it home, cause he doesn't deserve to die any other kind of death than a painful disgusting one at my own hands.
"Ive never seen a night sky, too much shit in the air in Five." I shrug, I don't seek out beauty in nature, since it does nothing for me, Im simply numb to it.
Combative Comrades || Hand-to-Hand || Delta & Absinthe
While I remain completely and utterly uninjured, I still feel the pain. The suits make sure to transfer the pain that would be felt. Iām numb to it. Iāve had training to be tolerant of such extreme pain. So I make no noises as Delta unleashes herself on me.Ā
"That was so fun, Delta! Okay, my turn now!" I shriek.Ā
The new environment is a completely razed city. Rubble dots the landscape, and dangling streetlights threaten to collapse.Ā
I giggle as I run towards Delta. I jab Deltaās trachea. Delta screams out in anger.Ā
I lift my leg up and bring it crashing down on the top of Deltaās head. She collapses to the ground, slowly trying to get up.Ā
"Iām going to fucking kill you, bitch!" Delta screams.Ā
"Catch me if you can!" I say as I laugh.Ā
"Oh, I will, bitch," she hisses.Ā
I deliver a spin kick to her abdomen, pinning her up against a somewhat broken streetlamp. I punch at her face, and she moves out of the way. Perfect. This dumb bitch is falling right into my trap. My fist connects with the streetlamp.Ā
"Dumb bitch! You canāt even hit me with a fucking punch!" Delta screams.Ā
I run away from Delta, and she follows me. But her little journey is cut short when the streetlamp comes crashing down on Delta, pinning her to the ground.Ā
"Ooh, Delta! Youāre trapped!" I exclaim as I stomp on her skull, on her hands, on her feet. All over her body. I finally slam her head into the ground to kill her, and then her suit reboots.Ā
I stand up and I seethe with anger. How in the holy fuck does this little bitch fight like this. Im not sure yet if I like it, or if its just bald trouble. This bitch could take a beating, add that to the maybe list.Ā But I guess we'll just have to figure out, together.
"Okay bitch, my turn now." I pure in a calming voice.
the environment changes, the sun above darkens with thick black fog. The ground beneath our feet turns to a stripped metal catwalk. The very same catwalks that line the power plants back home in Five. Underneath us, a reactor roars.
I leap forward and my heel connects with her knee and she crumples to one knee. I then bring my own knee up into her chin and she sprawls backwards, getting up quickly. "Oh Delta! Isn't this just so much fun!" She exclaims, but i retort with a fist to her face.
She sends a fist of her own back at me and it connects with my jaw, I grit my teeth and clutch onto her wrist, twisting and pulling it up as I do. Her body follows and I yank her overhead and slam her into the metal on the other side of me. "Looks like barbie is a little more plastic than I thought."
I sneer as I stomp on her face, before kicking her over the edge of the catwalk.
Short Leap || Urban Biome || Delta & Kaffira
I watched as her cord fell below us towards the floor, and stopped a few meters from the bottom. I kicked my cord off and let it do the exact same, stopping a few meters from the bottom.
"So we finally agree on something?" I laughed, then kicked my cord around so it danced at the bottom of the tower.
"Iām Kaffira, nice to meet you!" I beamed, and stuck my hand out in front of her in an offer to shake.
Kaffira? the name sounds familiar and then I realize. He is my competition for Swann. He is the one that may steal my sponsor. I feel rage inside me but I force it down, He hasn't stolen her yet, and if he does, IĀ will notĀ hold it back next time.Ā
"Delta, district Five." I respond. But i look at his outstretched hand, not very common in Five, but I took it anyway and gripped it hard, giving it a shake. "i guess its nice to meet you too." I say, but the words taste bitter
More my Speed || Throwing Knives | Delta & Victory
I smile slightly and nod, sheās right, even I prefer them as a melee weapon - causing as much pain to your atacker as possible before granting them the sweet of death is incredibly satisfying.
I chuckled softly and stepped up to take my shot, āJust so you know, I havenāt done this in a very long time, you might be incredibly underwhelmed by my skills.ā I took a deep breath and threw my first knife, it hit the target but it was too high and I pulled a slight face before turning back to her.
"Maybe you should take the next shot," I smiled at her, "Your aim is probably much better than mine." I shrugged and stepped away before tilting my head slightly, "Youāre the girl from five, right?"
My brows furrowed slightly. It was strange, but this girl didn't make me want to skin myself. refreshing.Ā
I watched as she took her first shot, which stuck into the target on the higher end of it. I hrugged since I hadn't thrown a knife in a while either. "You might be just as surprised." I took my stance and brought the blade close to my ear, lightly closing my fingers around the handle so i could let it fly easier. I lunged my arm forward and the knife went fly blade over handle until it stuck into the target just outside the second ring from the middle. "Not great either." I smiled back and shrugged. "that I am, Delta, and you're from Two?" I inquire
