I need to get this one off my chest… I think the Roaring Knight is the worst final/secret boss.

Don’t get me wrong, the Knight appearing as a scripted loss is an incredible story beat! But making that a required fight for a shadow crystal… I just don’t like it.

There’s no substance to the fight besides “comically hard”. The attacks themselves aren’t that unique (just dodge swords and stars) and there’s no actual plot significance to the fight, as it’s a scripted loss against an enemy who hasn’t done much to directly antagonize you yet besides trying to kidnap Toriel moments before.

Even Jevil was still a better fight because Jevil had a strategy for each attack you could learn. The Roaring Knight, if you don’t have the reaction time of a mantis shrimp, you’re just screwed the moment the sword circle or board chopping starts.

Anyways that’s just my rant, I’m glad lots of other people still love this fight :-)

i definitely think the knight fight was to, like, "weed out" people who weren't up to the challenge of the secret bosses. especially since gerson (and mew mew outside of like 2 attacks) were so absurdly easy after that. i think whatever the end result of the shadow crystal sideplot is is gonna be LUDICROUSLY hard

Okay, I don't know if you've seen the new Mew Mew store dialogue. But Toby just released an update and oh my god

FRIEND is a pack of violent cats?? That hunt their target down until they get bored?? You only get this dialogue if you beat Mew Mew, got the egg and found FRIEND. Mew Mew says that you should hide any protein. Eggs have a lot of protein. PlayStation achievement for completing the chapters without eggs says "completed without issue". The eggs are an issue. Because of FRIEND?? Would that imply that FRIEND is tied to the Forgotten Man?? Mew Mew also says that people "change their appearance" and "go into hiding" to escape them. If the "Tail of Hell" is tied to FRIEND, does that mean Kris, Dess and maybe Asriel and Noelle are/were "marked" in some way?? Is that why Dess went missing? Or why we can find FRIEND in all chapters from 2 onwards. Noelle's blog posts also mention a weird cat in Cat Petterz. Also, is Spamton theoretically in hiding? Like, he got a hit put on him or something because of the whole deal with Tenna (Personal theory he got turned into a puppet so he wouldn't be able to escape the cats. Also maybe that's why all his items protect from the Cat element?). Also this lowkey makes me think of Marble Hornets. Being chased by some entity, having to hide or else. Goddammit Tricky Tony dropping an update out of nowhere and making me lowkey lose my mind aaaaa

my personal opinion is that so many deltarune theories are proven wrong because they're looking at it from a logical (more "scientific," so to speak) standpoint instead of an artistic or literary standpoint. it doesn't have to all make perfect sense!! what about freaking themes and narratives!!

Is this a safe place to say I wish Kris didn't canonically liked Susie? I wish we had only Suselle and no drama 😞 we have wholesome lesbian couple (rare thing in games ans stuff), but the deltarune community is always speaking against them, damn!! Arguing about shipps is so childish but the whole situation with krusie against suselle in the fandom is so annoying. And no I don't think they should be in a throuple either, cause Noelle's arc is pretty much about respecting her own wishes, and she wishes to be with Susie, not Kris. We literally have the weird route about forcing them together so I don't feel like krusielle or kriselle is viable.

Idk I just can't see suselle content without someone in my ear talking about kris (or dozens or people flooding comment sections), this is not about them !!! This is fr making me mad

when chapter 3 was new, i struggled with fighting the Knight so much that i got a save editor and made all my stats incredibly high numbers.

of course, impossibly high stat numbers didnt matter the slightest, the Knight is a guaranteed loss... but i liked being able to fight back even for a little bit.

the moment i finished chapter 6 i got an overwhelming desire to get flowery merch that i began making a plush of him

i think the worst thing about flowery being my favourite character has to be fact i dont even know how i feel about him.

i dont know how "having a crush" feels like. i dont know why i have such an overbearing desire to get merch of him. i dont know why i want him to rest his head on my lap. i dont know why i want to hold him in my arms. i dont know why i feel the way i do when i think about him.
