I didn't do much to Maleficent beyond painting her Princess Glow (iykyk) but I def did a lot of work to Aurora

So I got a hold of that Aurora and Maleficent 2 pack 2nd hand and restyled them

I first washed her hair and recurled it and following a tutorial used some hairspray to keep the curls intact (and some hair wax to try to tame some fly aways)

then came my next challenge: her dress

I bought this one Barbie princess gown (guess where it's from 😏) to dress her in and was really hoping her fuck ass rectangular body wouldn't be a problem when dressing her

(it was)

And so I improvised

I tested the dress on that leftover movie Barbie I got my Ballet Wishes legs for

It fit ok enough but I also had a spare belly button body around and wanted to see if I could swap out the limbs with either this doll or Aurora's

(I couldn't)

So after all the carnage I just settled for swapping out the movie doll's hands and putting in Aurora's legs

Granted the movie body isn't as slim as a belly button but the dress still went on decently (+ she's taller than Maleficent now)

Finally got new legs for my Ballet Wishes Barbie so now she can actually wear Barbie heels

I remembered when the Valentine's 2 pack of Clawd and Draculaura came out I saw some say Draculaura doesn't look good in red and I was like how??? That's literally dark pink for her and so I came up with this look. As for her hair I originally wanted to do loop pigtails but then saw anime girls with braided loops and so went with that.

As for the other Draculaura after buying one Blythe dress to test for fitting on Bratz Babyz I found it fit her proportions quite well and so bought another in her colors.

So I wanted some cute clothes for Bratz Babyz and went to Ali to find what could fit

The first row is an Obitsu dress and it does fit quite perfectly (the sleeves are a little long for the doll but I could work with it) and even the apron alone could be worn as a dress depending on how you adjust it

The bottom two are a Blythe dress (that I bought figuring Blythes had pretty skinny bodies so it could considerably fit) that considerably fits: it's quite long in the torso area but I think it works regardless and I don't even mind how long the skirt is (it just makes me think of baby christening gowns)

and if i said that tumblr thought they could get away with that update bc they know the majority of this website ignores the reblog option entirely compared to years ago, so they figured they could just BREAK the very foundation of how this website was built to operate and people would just shrug and be fine with that. please let this be a wake up call. our strong reaction to that change should start to reflect significantly in that ACTUAL reblog count under those notes we just fought for to stay untouched. fandoms and communities cannot thrive on likes alone. as much as tumblr has tried to turn this place into tiktok and twitter, it's not. posts need to circulate. art needs to be seen and shared. tumblr is not tumblr if this is not happening consistently because reblogs are the heartbeat of this website. please don't ever take it for granted. never give tumblr a reason to take away the thing that links us together and amplifies creativity. make reblogging a priority, PLEASE.
