Thinking about Michael Yew again.
Just being the first in the titan war to take charge after losing a sibling in battle.
Of suddenly taking charge of the second largest cabin at camp on his own.
Suddenly taking charge right as the war picks up.
He doesn't have time to even grieve, he has a cabin and camp to think of.
Honestly the fact he doesn't have more attitude is insane.
Yet when it comes down to it, he knows when he needs to step back. He doesn't even waste the time taking the chariot back before they leave when Clarisse still refuses to fight. He cusses her out but by the time Percy asks about it he has a "meh" attitude about it. Very much showing that he's lot more focused on the battle then some feud with Clarisse.
Like between that and everything else going on in his life, I think he has too much patience.
Guy has to deal with Percy's flirting on the battlefield. Gods bless him the most reaction he gives there is a "gee thanks" when Percy implies only Annabeth could organize his cabin gdgdf.
I love this kid so much he's a mix or tough and caring all wrapped in one.
Like Percy mentions Michael had been retreating with the others at first. But then when Percy looks again after it's just him vs Kronos/ his army , Michael had stopped and perched nearby.
Which implies that as soon as he saw Annabeth go down he went back.
He made the decision that he wasn't gonna leave Percy to do it on his own. He was willing to face THE TITAN LORD AND HIS ARMY FACE TO FACE WITH HIM WITH ONE ARROW.
Also... very likely one the last words Michael might've told Will/ his siblings was to keep heading off the bridge without him. And I just-
