Hello love!

Today I wished to be there with you! I daydreamed: 

We were in a gluten-free pizzeria in the middle of an old French town. We looked at each other’s faces and smile. The time of the scene was some 10 years from now. It was some 8 degrees outside and you were wearing a purple knitted scarf! I completely remembered the first time we met and we chatted about our adventures over some wine. 

I asked about your family and you asked about my dogs. You recommended a book in Spanish I should read from Mario Vargas Llosa. I gave you an immense hug and passed my hand toward your left cheek. “I’ll never leave you”, “ever!”. The sea it’s just a sea and the ocean a mirror that carries the same stars from my shore to yours

I hope the sun is kind to you tomorrow

Anger

Sometimes I feel angry about myself.

Like, why did I make this decision or the other. I sometimes wonder if as a whole, this is some sort of regretful feeling that I have. It might also be something caused by others but I tend to not let others be the cause of y problems.

I am done with medical school

Why do we put in charge of something as humane as health, the most ruthless people that we can think of?

Doctors all over the world are really many times a handful of inflated egos. And I really feel sad by this. At least it’s the portion of medical school that I was not prepared for and people just give me more reasons to quit or change my views. I am really done with it all. It goes from the teachers to my colleagues.

I guess I get hope from my patients.

Day 2

We start the day looking outside a bus window and searching for someone in the street that looks happier than us. I don’t know, maybe holding a kids hand or walking a dog. And we think.. how come I don’t have this persons life? Can I have that this year? Santa please!

This persons’ life seems indeed way better than the other 40 people that are sharing the bus ride with you. In a single moment you have taken your life efforts to potentially none.

What is our need to seek happiness in others?

Why can’t we be that someone that make other people feel like somebody? Wouldn’t that be better?

Happiness can come from within. From our true grit for making life a better place but maybe we can do that by knowing ourselves better

Fresh Start

Welcome 2019!

A world of unopened cubbies and still, a world I find myself being scared to. It is true that new Year’s resolutions can help you guid your actions and maybe you can make that old black agenda pretty by using all the online tools about bullet journals. But the question that haunts me in this day is... will I fall again? Would I be able to make the cut? Am I ever going to be enough.

Last year I lost a love, I lost an orientation of what to strive for and I thought about the following situation. What if I stopped striving for the things I see in others? What if is stopped getting that toxic relationship back to the good old days? Would it be worthed?

I hope 2019 just becomes a year where I stop striving. Life is a battle, sure. This implies that we need to fight for somethings. But let’s fight in a positive way for thigs that do matter! Starting by ourselves and our loved ones.

The best kind of love might just be the one that comes from within
