lmk (well just macaque and wukong) headcanons i have sitting in my head i need to write somewhere:

- white hair macaque pre death ofc
- but also i forgot where i read this but I liked the idea of the reason why his fur comes back mostly black after his revival is because when his soul was dragged out of the diyu, it took damage and it manifested (at least physically) in his fur texture and color changi ng drastically
- in my macaque design, his post revival self has side bangs over his right eye. even thought ofc he has glamours over the damage he still feels the need to cover it - extra layer of protection
- hes also most definitely blind in his right eye but he pretends he isnt
- ^^^ my macaque design again but also his mane was more similar to my wukong design’s fur pre-death and it got more stiff and coarser after his revival (which also drives him literally insane)
- between macaque and wukong macaque wld be more caught up w fashion trends/in touch w his personal style even with the however many centuries he missed while being dead
- both having long styled manes in their youth but cutting it short later
-macaque used to dress in colors more similar to wukong pre death
- when macaque came back the change was so drastic wukong nearly didnt recognize him and even when he did he was in denial until he used his true sight ability on macaque
-macaque is always always so freaking cold (revival complications) like pre death he ran a little colder than others but it wasnt crazy but post he practically feels like an ice cube (or a dead body haha)
- alternatively, wukong runs hot (mostly from time in the furnace but also he just naturally does)
- chubby wukong is growing on me like u cannot tell me lazing about a mountain for centuries and eating peaches is gonna help maintain a greek god physique
- even though wukong technically spends more time w the baby monkeys they love macaque SO MUCH MORE and it drives wukong insane (he keeps trying to bribe them back with food and spending time w them but as soon as macaque shows up games over)

A friend dragged me back to LMK so I offer you all a quick animatic.
Context: Wukong has been gone way to long and with no ruler over flower fruit mountain demons are getting impotent and want the territory for themselves Macaque can't single handedly fight every damn clan. So his compromise is if someone can lift wukongs staff and beat him in a fight. The the territory is there's and he will be their warrior . After Al who wouldn't want someone who can hear the future on their team?
It all started with a fanart I did with a giant wolf and now I made a whole story of it for no reason. And since I'm not good at writting, I'll just make storyboards of some important scenes.

A quick plot : MK has been teleported for unknown reason in a mysterious place. While trying to find his way back, he encounters someone who has seen and known everything since the beginning.
i really like drawing wukongs fur as curly bc hes just a curly fun eccentric guy but also the OUGHGAGGGGGGGGAGAGAGAG of giving him swirls in his hair that resembles his nimbus cloud
