I’m kind of losing motivation for this au because of lack of interaction and I was wondering if anyone actually wants it to continue

I meant the things Capple did that impact the plot (sorry for not being clear enough)

The point is not whether or not Candy Apple has impacted the plot but rather whether or not she has any character outside of Shadow Milk or even Black Sapphire for that matter

She still has less personality than black sapphire or even pavlova.

Her personality revolves around some masc presenting character while she has nothing she likes to do on her own that isnt related to said masc characters motivations.

Like Black sapphire is also a minion but he also is a radio host and in apple's words "a weirdo who talks to himself" (we know its because he breaks 4th wall). Even if we treat the radio host thing as part of black sapphire's job, he still gets the 4th wall break trait. Its not much... But its something that is about HIM not smilk not to mention his lines regarding apple which shows he has his own life aswell which isn't revolving entirely around shmilk

Same for pavlova he ismostly shown doing eternal sugar's bidding and trying to get people to stay in the garden using love. Yet he has a different motivation(is that the correct word to use here?) than eternal sugar:he wants to leave the garden. He gets irritated by tasks and hands them over to others(which isn't common behavior amongst eternal sugars "workers" or whatever you want to call them) his wish to leave does happen because of eternal sugar but even then its contradicting eternal sugars motivations. Also he likes tragic romance.

Capple is shown as "the crazy girl minion who does the mascot characters bidding" and that is all they give to her. No silly facts like being a fan of tragic romance or having a radio show or even having done anything else in her life that isn't related to shmilk's plans. She doesn't get any contradicting wishes to shmilk's. Nothing. All she gets is "being annoying". They dont even mention ANYTHING about her in past except for that she was born from shmilk's first lie. That is it? Atleast black sapphire gets the "older sibling who raised the younger sibling" thing.

If its still hard to understand then just imagine apple as a guy and then look me in the eyes and explain to me how her doing her job gives her a personality is something about her because the misogyny in the "girl who is obsessed with masc character and has nothing else about her and not him" is ridiculous and it baffles me that why this stupid trope won't just die.

Kind of same thing with nutmeg tiger love her what honestly name one thing about her that is not just her being really devoted to burning spice I don’t count the plant thing because that is just something the voice actor came up with

Honestly a lot of the personality of the minions are from headcanons

I think the biggest problem with CRK overall is that Devsis doesn't think hard enough about the undertones of their writing, which leads to the messages regarding these plotlines contradicting each other and feeling very ideologically confused and sometimes even having straight up harmful or offensive implications.

Honestly saying this as a diehard Pure Vanilla fan but I actually think people are totally within their right to be pissed at him for thing with Pom Pom Dough. Yeah it was a war but dude she was child. He saw a child soldier in pain and exploited her moment of weakness by telling everyone to gang up on her with seemingly no remorse or hesitation. This situation would be morally grey at best 😭 But I'd say this is just another matter of Devsis' shitty writing because I don't think they realized how fucked up it was, so I blame them more than him. I think the way they generally write kids is pretty weird

not to sound Overly sensitive but the parts where pom pom was in pain and suffering made me kind of Uncomfortable i'm not trying to say the devs were Problematic for this because i know a kid being in pain is something that is Meant to make the player uncomfortable but something about the way non of the good guys Really seemed to care that much was weird to me idk i might be remembering it wrong

I think a lot of the problems with Burning Spice and the way his trauma was written could be improved by showing him being more active and present in these communities. Burning Spice's descent into madness was caused by having to watch things be born and thrive only for them to be destroyed, being born to embrace change yet being forced to watch the same thing over and over. This is what caused the "boredom" (depression). Eras in history ending for new ones to be birthed is only natural, but the thought of actually living long to enough to witness it happen over and over...

But- not to undermine his trauma- he didn't really have to witness any of it first hand, he was only being told about what's happening in these cultures, which kinda makes me wonder what his job even was? 😭 I think that showing him actively participating in these communities and caring about them would've gotten the point across better and make the whole thing feel more personal. Instead the whole thing was executed in a strange way which is why I think so many people think that the issue actually was just boredom

i love when people Include burning spice actually interacting with his community in fan work it just make his Corruption so much more heart breaking when you get to see him actually caring for his Citizens and Getting upset when it all comes crashing down then slowly becoming more and more apathetic to it all

Small rant but why is YouTube’s block feature so ass technically they don’t even have a block feature but you should be able to make video from certain channels not show up on your fyp the problem is most of the time the button doesn’t even show up for me it seem like every other platform has some kind of block feature but YouTube

I feel like the new oven break story with the oven smash characters just proves to me more that oven smash should have had some kind of story mode instead of some comic that is really hard to find for some reason in the oven break story they are so fun and interesting i wish there was some kind of story system in oven smash

Well… the game is based off of Brawl Stars, and that game doesn’t have a story mode either, so it tracks I suppose.

Still sucks there’s no story though, maybe we’ll get a story soon? That probably unlikely considering their inspiration doesn’t have a story either, and the fact that it’ll probably be way too similar to Tower of Adventure’s story mode gameplay, but it’s possible.
