The cherry blossoms were in full bloom and just about to begin falling. The weather forecast says it will rain tomorrow, so the sakura season will soon come to an end. . What I love most is the moment when the petals fall gently in the wind like snow. It is incredibly beautiful and carries a touch of wabi—a quiet, fleeting elegance.

I missed the peak cherry blossom season this year. If I had a garden, it would be wonderful to plant cherry trees like this.

Last year, since I went there later than usual, the autumn leaves had already fallen at the temples in Kyoto. Kohrin-in, a sub-temple of Daitoku-ji, was no exception, but the carpet of fallen leaves was beautiful.

In the morning, I picked up some teacups at an antique shop. After that, I enjoyed a seafood lunch. I walked around the city to get ready for dinner. That was the original plan, but I ended up having sweets twice along the way😱oops.

I bought a piece by my favorite Kutani ware artist, some traditional Japanese sweets, and some sake. I was really pleased, but when I realized it was too much to carry, I had to send everything by courier. I love "akae-saibyo" (fine red-painted designs), I love Japanese sweets, and the seafood is always delicious💕so it's no wonder I adore Kanazawa. And I've always been drawn to those beautiful bengara-red walls.

The photo is from Ozaki Shrine, which I stopped by during my walk. The autumn leaves and the main shrine building complemented each other perfectly, creating such a stunning view.

The photo shows the garden of the historic Daitokuji sub-temple. The garden is well-maintained and very beautiful as always. I love this temple very much, so I eagerly visit it on my days off when heavy rain is expected. Then there are likely to be far less people in Kyoto. In the rain, the gardeners were taking care of the garden. Their efforts maintain the beautiful garden.

Korin-in (A bub-temple of Daitoku-ji) I went to Kyouto last week to make a small prayer for my friend. I found there are very less tourists there due to rain, then I suddenly decided to visit Daitokuji sub temple instead of my temple.

The smell of wooden wagashi box is wafting, because the box is made of Akita Cedar boards. When I open it, I am always enchanted by their beautiful and delicate sweets. As for me, the wagashi shop is worth visiting.
