There are certain aspects of Dennis' canon character that are so frequently overlooked. Some parts I know why, others I do not. His affinity for funk music (emphasised on multiple occasions) is the characteristic that seems most frequently absent in my view, but I also see little consideration for the fact that he believes in karma. Additionally, he snaps the neck of a small animal with his bare hands without a second thought. This is so interesting to me. I think about it daily.

you have to remember that dennis whitaker is, at his core, an empathetic fixer and a devoted people pleaser. which means no, he’s absolutely not moving out of santos’ place, because he knows leaving would make her sad, and he’s not saying no to robby either, because he'd rather die before refusing him. so the obvious outcome here is that dennis quietly starts running himself ragged trying to keep everyone happy, taking the long way home from the hospital so he can swing by robby’s place to water his plants, then heading back to his and santos’ place to listen to her bitch about her day.
