Maybe the reason you do not complain about the government, the traffic, poor Internet, etc is because you yourself choose not to give your all at your job / family / relationship. We are the society that we choose to be and frankly, we suck.

We convince ourselves with self-fulfilling prophecies as an excuse for laziness and lack of self-discipline.

Sometimes, lazy means maximizing returns for mininal effort. To do nothing is the least rewarding activity man can engage in. To want to do nothing means man is doing something ergo is not lazy. Doing something, however, does not always equate to productivity.

You don’t get it. I barely understood it. I crave the kind of partner that will tell me when I’m wrong. Someone who will take the time to say to me, ‘This is going to be a sucky conversation because it’s going to be uncomfortable but if I don’t tell you, I can’t be certain anyone will and I want you to grow continuously into a superb human being.’ Do you get it? Don’t you want someone who wants you to keep growing?

So this guy cold calls me from my social network, tells me he has a company that makes billions and wants to make x more billions this year and asks to meet with me, as if that should impress me.

He asks what I do and where I work, as if I'm the one who needs him.

I ask very specific questions to help me decide if I want to meet: Who are the investors? What is the product? What is the business model? What is the rate of return?

He responds by saying I should meet with him, and they can easily find someone else. Oh yeah? Sure, I totally understand. Goodbye.

I don't have time for a "business" that can't respect my time.
