dan really took all the trauma and negativity in his life and turned it to something positive. imagine the self healing he had to go through and the courage to go through it.

genuinely beside myself with pride and admiration for dan today. it’s an act of unspeakable courage to reveal the most vulnerable aspects of oneself to Anyone let alone an audience of millions. and there’s so much i don’t even know how to talk about with respect to how dans journey and the way it played out online truly did make it that much easier for soooo many of us to identify our own ambiguous sexualities, to feel okay in the closet, to embrace the unwillingness to embrace a label, to defend ourselves however we needed in the face of homophobia and prejudice. it all just means so fucking much im consumed with gratitude for dan and for this community he has inspired. love him, love y’all, always always x

gonna try and keep this short & snappy and avoid saying too much about my personal feelings about the video as a whole but when dan howell talked about how people invading his privacy caused him to literally experience PTSD symptoms and painful self-hatred regarding his sexuality i really hope y'all listened because some of you were a part of that and i hope you understand now why you are not entitled to intimate access into the lives of strangers online, no matter how famous they are
