the level of cognitive dissonance happening this awards season is truly breathtaking

James Franco flirted with and tried to hook up with an underaged teenage girl, and they did the same for him. they sat and clapped for Call Me By Your Name, as one of its actors was nominated and the trailer played. the Golden Globes was an elaborate show of performative pandering in attempt to retain the favor of an audience finally speaking out against their toxic behavior and culture, and most of the people there would have clapped and supported every man outed last year just the same if there had been no threat to them in association.

Yup. The whole show was just a huge wankfest so some of these people can sleep better at night. A lot of them worked with Woody Allen even after Dylan Farrow’s letter begging them not to (Emma Stone, Justin Timberlake, etc.), worked with Roman Polanski and/or signed the petition for him to come back in the US (Natalie Portman, Penelope Cruz, Guillermo Del Toro, Ewan McGregor, etc.), are friends with Terry Richardson (Jennifer Aniston) and cheered for Kirk Douglas. But they wore black and look “woke” now, so everything is fine.
