“I only had three in San Francisco! More than that seems excessive. Granted I had more acquaintances because I was a very happy go lucky, yet snarky girl.” She noted her own past tense there. She was aware she was no longer as happy. Cammie glared at him then. “Derek! Do not tell people that. Take that back right now!” She eyed him then. “Does she know which L word you meant? So what would you have said if she’d taken it the other way and thought you meant the girlfriend version? Somehow here, I’m not believing you. When I first met you, you had a major case of the heart eyes for her.” Cammie worried about her sister every day. She knew that whereas she had her own demons and she was playing the best game of fake it til you make it, she was unsure whether Morgan was doing the same. “She does, but after a while, she’s going to need a kick to remind her to live too.” She smiled almost deviously. “I do. This is a love story that will be beautiful, but I’m not telling you yet because you already said ‘I love you’ before either of you were ready. You might ruin my plans. You’re already making me nervous about the timeframe here.” She was such a fan of Derek and thought he’d be so good for her sister. She covered her face for a moment. “I know…I know! I can’t help it. I hate it, but I don’t. Who am I even right now.” She sighed but it was a happy sound.

“Then make some acquaintances. It’s clearly not rocket science for you. Come on, I believe in you.” Derek couldn’t help but laugh when she told him to take it back. He probably would never see her as badass. She was just too adorable in his opinion. "Aww, you’re even cute when you’re glaring. I’m never taking it back. I’m not saying I’ll tell people that, but...” He drifted off and let her come to a conclusion of what he was going to say. “I meant like I love her like I love her as a friend. Like she’s a great person to have around. You know? I did not...I do not nor have I ever had heart eyes. Ever.” It sounded almost as unbelievable as her saying she didn’t have a big heart when she seemed to care so much. “Yeah, I think that’s more your job than mine. I could try, but you’re her sister. You’re the reason she wants to live, you know.” Of course he knew there were other people Morgan cared about, but considering he hadn’t known about Cammie until after Morgan had gotten kidnapped, he figured she wanted to keep her sister safe. “What timeframe? What is going on? I’m worried about your plans now.” What the hell was she planning? Why was he so out of the loop? He had so many questions running through his mind right now. Which wasn’t actually unusual for him. “Not a badass, that’s for sure. You’re getting excited over a boy. Which I hope that he knows I will kick his ass if he hurts you. I will team up with Morgan and make sure he’s in a bloody heap by the end of the day.”

“It was overall a good night.” He cringed at hearing that the boy was sick. “Oh, are you good now? If not, you should definitely go to the healing center.”

Hearing his response, Dylan rolled her eyes as she shook her head. “It’s horrible to see you growing so weak so fast.” She commented, letting a sigh fall from her lips. “Well, I guess we should entertain ourselves before you become completely weak. Or I suppose in this case, before you can’t outrun a killer clown.” She smiled before moving inside of the theater. “Honestly, you don’t need to see the original. In my opinion, it was horrible and really didn’t stand up to the book. Acting was bad and so was the casting, except for Tim Curry. He will always be Pennywise to most of us, but I’m interested to see what this Skarsgard kid does with this role.” She finished as they reached the counter and she got two tickets, paying then turning and handing one to Derek. “You want any popcorn? Or drink?” Dylan asked, before moving towards concessions.

“I know. Please make sure, when I truly lose all capability of moving myself around, that my walker or wheelchair is in a safe spot.” Derek placed a hand to his chest and took a breath. “I think I won’t have to worry much about the killer clown. He seems to be fond of killing children.” From what he had seen, that was what it seemed like at least. He wasn’t quite sure what the entire concept of the movie was. To be honest, he had just said yes because he knew Dylan wanted to see it. He wasn’t going to leave her to see it alone. “Well, I guess we’ll see how good it is or isn’t then. From the trailers, this Skarsgard kid has got a pretty fucking big forehead. Like abnormally large.” Then again, the movie had an abnormal concept in the first place. He wasn’t sure what he would think of it. He liked experiencing new things though. Even if it meant dealing with watching killer clowns. Once they got to the counter, he looked up at the list of snacks and drinks on the sign. “Uh, how about you pick? I’ll pay.”

Nina had been calling her father and chickening out on speaking to him on and off for a few days. This time, however, the phone got stuck and she couldn’t hang up, so she profusely pressed the button and eve threw it down on the table. Sad, sad as hell. I thought you were, Miss Big Bad Ryback. Can’t even make a call, Cecilia the ghost bane of her existence said. Nina didn’t think before she snapped. “Shut up. Shut the fuck up. I’m so tired of you! Why are you here?!” she yelled. Not realizing that she was the only person that could see and hear this ghost and this could have been a moment when people thought she was crazy.

“What the fuck?” He looked in Nina’s direction to see that she was most definitely not talking to him. Hell, she wasn’t even looking in his direction. “Oh, Nina, I knew that white boy would have you losing your mind.”

Dylan stood in front of the theater with her arms crossed over her chest. Her eyes continued to move from person to person as the passed her by, but none of them were the right face. After their horror marathon after the dance, Dylan decided to see if Derek would be up to see It and was surprised that he agreed. She clicked the button on her phone, checking the time and taking a moment to respond to the texts that had appeared. When she finished, she clicked the button on her phone again to see the black screen before looking up to see Derek approaching. “It’s about time.” She spoke, tucking her phone back in her purse. “Almost thought you were gonna make me late for my date with a killer clown.” She continued, laughing a little.

Derek wasn't a particular guy when it came to movies. He always just chose to watch something and, if it was good, he would just enjoy it. However, after his friendship with Dylan had started, he had been watching a lot of horror movies. Which was something he realized piqued her interest. So he wasn't surprised when she asked him if he wanted to see It. He had heard of the movie and the concept, but he had never seen the original so he was curious. He shook his head and dropped the water bottle in his hand down to his side as he walked over to Dylan who was standing in front of the theater. "You know I'm an old man. My joints were giving me problems. I might need a walker, Dylan. Maybe a wheelchair. It's up in the air," he joked. He looked up to see the sign for the movie. "Is this the part where I tell you I never saw the original?"
