We have always been inspired by the night’s sky, Looking up and trying to grasp the size of it all. And this is one way of us trying to pull it all together. The grounding warmth of wood and the immense vastness of space, in your space. Hang it anyway you’d like, horizontal, an arc, vertical, or in a circle. Let this be the reminder in life you need for the perspective we tend to forget. Handmade from solid black walnut, each phase is cut, sanded, and finished one at time. The full moon's diameter measures between 3 and 3 1/4 inches. When mounted on a wall horizontally with a few inches in between each phase it stretches about two feet. Taking advantage of this weather to re-oil Gina and I’s wood kitchen utensils and boards. Even with routine maintenance, a giant crack on a joint line showed up on this Maple and mahogany butcher block I made us 3 years ago. A good reminder to keep in mind, water made the Grand Canyon.
