I don’t hate Pudding anon, I never said I hate Pudding although I do think she’s been less than helpful (and I’m happy she agrees). I’m more confused about her, I honestly don’t know what to make of Pudding because I can’t read her intent. I hope she’s on Luffy’s side and I really do mean it, the more allies Luffy has the better.

If this is about my Zoro and Pudding comparison then you, anon, take headcanons way too seriously. I don’t see it as a post to denounce SanjixPudding or Pudding as a character, it was a concept developing between a friend and I about mirror worlds. It was meant to be fun and I’m sorry if you feel otherwise; what I wrote afterwards on the inconsistency between Pudding’s actions and her words however, was meant to be critical.

And I do want to point out that I don’t analyze Pudding because I ship ZoSan, I ship Sanji in other pairings as well but that doesn’t matter in this case because this has nothing to do with what I ship and how I ship them.

I am critical of Pudding because I like the Straw Hats, and as much as I love to trust in Luffy’s gut to tell apart good from bad, her overall performance as someone who wants to help hasn’t been too outstanding. 

Maybe she’s waiting for the right chance? Maybe she is threatened to work for her mother? Maybe she is too sheltered to understand the scope of the situation and how to properly handle it? I don’t know, but I think I’ve only been focusing on the inconsistencies Pudding has been making, and while I am certainly biased in my own analysis I try not to make false accusations against her.

I wish I could share your trust in Pudding anon but sadly I am still skeptical.

What if Sanji, due to complex PTSD from his childhood, gets violent outbursts and attacks people but can’t explain himself so he acts like an asshole to avoid confrontation when he really just wants to be friendly?

just wanted to let y’all know that according to the RAWS, the more accurate translation of what Sanji said in this panel:

is “Please I’m begging you, everyone… just leave/get out of here safely…” whereas mangastream translated it as “Please… Stay safe, guys. Don’t do anything rash!” which i think significantly changes the meaning of Sanji’s understanding of the situation. in the first place, Sanji put up that whole ridiculous facade to chase Luffy away because he knows that if Luffy and the rest of the crew continue to stay on the island, they won’t be safe, which is why he asked Big Mom to spare their lives and let them leave the island. 

also like, can we be real here for a sec? while i can’t say the same for the rest of the crew, but telling Luffy not to do anything rash will simply fall on deaf ears, and Sanji should know that very well by now.

No, Yuri!!! on Ice isn't a yaoi

It’s not even a shounen ai. It’s a sports anime with a canon gay couple.

Please please please, I don’t want to alienate LGBT representation in anime any further than it already has by placing YOI in the yaoi category just because of Victuuri. Rarely do we see gay representation outside of yaoi (if you even consider that representative…) so I want to keep this intact.

This is so important!!!!!! The yaoi/bl genre is a very problematic engine of fetishization where queer (male) couples exist for the consumption of a straight (female) audience. Yaoi is almost singularly defined by the hypersexualization of queer men and is meant to excite a straight female audience with how “”“"forbidden”“”“ and ”“”“sinful”“”“ it is.

By calling yuri on ice a sports anime and not a yaoi or shounen-ai, the writers are sending a message that rejects this idea that queer couples should be fetishized in order to be valid. This is a big step for Japan in normalizing queer identity!!!!!!
