As for your question about how he felt when he first showed Elisabeth his wings... yes, he was definitely nervous. Slightly anxious. It was opening up another part of himself to her that he never had to any other human, much less exposing himself to her in a way he hadn't before. Showing her his wings... part of him definitely felt vulnerable.
🤔 Well he’s.. abbreviated this evening. Me picturing Death reading mortal questions and raising an eyebrow, cuz.. mortals. Your muse is so eloquent a being That’s a good question.. I too Nonnie would want him to sing often lol Does mun have thoughts on our dear eternal loves vocal prowess? 👀

He sings to Elisabeth whenever he has the chance, and when raising their daughter little Sophie in the underworld, he'd sing to her when she was little and he wasn't busy with psychopomp duties.
He's definitely a tenor with a voice cold and clear like ice. When singing to Sisi, definitely draws inspiration from her favorite poet Heinrich Heine. (Though incidentally, his part in "Elisabeth, mach auf" is almost a reverse of Franz Scherbert's "Der Tod und das Mädchen", with Death speaking first instead of the maiden.
As for various styles/genres of music that he likes to sing... almost everything?

Anyway, when she grabbed his hand / reached out for him during "Schwarzer Prinz", he was initially just going to walk away... because it happens, occasionally, that it's not time for the person he's come to collect to join him, and Elisabeth had recovered enough from her injuries that she would live.
But then she said "Warum bleibst du nicht hier? Ich hab' mich in deinen Armen wohlgefühlt", and he was intrigued enough to stay, look back at her, mirror her when she said she felt like a black bird, proud and alone.
He wasn't in love with her, not yet, but she definitely caught his interest by reaching out to him and making that connection that nobody else had before.
This is also why I'm not a fan of "Kein Kommen ohne Gehen" in the German productions and vastly prefer "Schwarzer Prinz". I digress.

He would have gone with whatever Elisabeth's choice of name was -- and it wasn't Sophie. The Archduchess Sophie made that decision for them. (And yes, Death was mad on Sisi's behalf when the Archduchess took her daughter from her.)

Yup! It's been a thing in the Tumblr RPC since... pre-2015, at least, to refer to Anons as "greyfaces". "Nonnie" is another common nickname.

So am I. I just dread Elisabeth having more of a US-American audience, because I can see all the wank coming from a mile away. I'm also perfectly fine with Elisabeth das Musical not getting a Broadway adaptation, frankly. Not after what happened with Tanz der Vampire and Rebecca. (Plus, I can see Anglosphere Tumblr treating it as "Phantom of the Opera but German" and nooo, we don't need that. There's enough wank in the fandom as it is without US-American purity culture making it worse.)

Awww, danke! Yup, he was totally blushing (not that he would admit it). And yes, Sisi is one of the few people he shows his softer side to (which, him being Death, is relative and all, but... still).

// Danke! So, I've written some Elisafics (that you can find here on my blog or on AO3) where Elisabeth does still refer to him as her dark prince. He was confused at first because nobody had reacted to him that way before, but he grew to like it the more she referred to him as a dark prince.
And yeah, even in the underworld, she still calls him her dark prince as a term of endearment.
Death's response:
"It did take me aback when she first called me her schwarzer Prinz. No one else had reacted to me the way she did before, reached out to me, asked me to stay. And... ja, part of me liked hearing her call me that, even if I didn't really know how to respond to it."
