     soooooo i am seriously considering REBOOTING this blog, perhaps ground it more into book canon etc. the main question right now is whether to keep luke evans as my fc, or to find someone who fits my vision of bard better ( a soldier, a captain, grim-faced & grim-spirited ). any fc suggestions would be very appreciated!

um you vanessa: i was so excited when i first saw your oc because a.) awesome oc b.) KICKASS DWARF LADY OC and then finding out you had a dwalin after two years of desperately wanting to rp with one was just a wonderful surprise. of course, finding out you were so terribly talented and funny and love was the best surprise of them all

aubrie: my partner in crime since literally day 3 of this blog. i deeply, deeply missed you and meg and i had more than one chat about how nice it would be if wee poppy banks would somehow return. i more or less screamed when i saw your blog pop up and having you back in my life is such an utter joy. you bring so much happiness and humor to this fandom and to everyone who knows you, don’t ever stop

michelle: yet another person who i am thrilled to have back in my life! you’re unbelievably talented and strong and determined, bby, and an inspiration to me. brad the broman has become such an important part of amera’s characterization that i can’t even imagine where she’d be without him and i’m still in awe of how gracious you were to not only interact with an oc, but integrate amera into bard’s characterization and actions. 

meg: i can’t talk about amera’s characterization without fili, who is hands down the single most important part of her development and is reasonable for who, how and where she ended up two years later. basically the last time i talked about you in one of these things you threatened to kill me bc i brought up shrek, so i’ll avoid that for now but basically you know i love you and fili forever

yes, i’ve been very absent here of late. i’ve mostly been spending my time----

i’ve no intention of deleting bard or anything along those lines. i’m just feeling a lot more inspired over at elfhelm’s blog atm. it’s also less pressure, somehow, and a lot more compelling to play such a minor character. he feels more like mine, whereas over here i continually feel as though i’m holding myself up against some internal standards i can never reach. self-sabotage at its best. idk, i just feel somewhat disconnected from bard. i’m going to re-read the book and my meta notes this weekend, because i feel moving him further away from movie canon might help?? most of my interactions and choices have little to do with that characterization, anyway. 

( tl;dr i’m not going anywhere, just need to figure out some stuff. thank you lovelies for your continued understanding & patience, you’re all wonderful. )

Their writing is a marvel and the way they flesh out their characters makes them so real and believable that their dialogues could be taken right out of a Tolkien book. I look up to the mun both as a writer and as a person because they are remarkably talented and kind.
