The short lived heart attack nearly earned them an earful, but before Akito could even gather her thoughts together -- they were above a cruise ship. Eyes widening slightly with wonder, she stared down at the people below.

"They can't see us right?" Of course she wasn't used to this, so she wouldn't know.

Her arm was taken hostage, tucked in the God's, but she followed across the cruise ship deck. "I've never been. My health...doesn't allow me to travel much," she admitted, a sparkle of curiosity in her eyes.

The vibrant atmosphere under the night sky that was void of stars if only because of the light pollution from the ship itself - Cyikidia found that a shame. Maybe they could find the power source and destroy it? That sounded like fun, but they didn't want to do it immediately, they should enjoy the atmosphere first.

"Not right now, so we can get up to all kinds of mischief~" They turned their attention back to Akito, adding: "I guess I could make them able to see us, but I don't want too."

"Your life before meeting me sounds like it was super boring. If you were a real god, you could just kill everyone who tried to hold you prisoner in one place." That's what they'd do if someone trapped them, and it might be amusing to see Akito go on a killing spree.

But their attention was diverted to the various food vendors that had their wares out for the cruise-goers to take. Of course, Kidi wasn't sure how the money aspect of this worked, but they were invisible anyway. They pointed to one of the stalls, "Do you want something to eat? I want to know what that tastes like but gods don't have that ability, so I want you to eat it and tell me."

Of course, they knew some ex-mortal gods who still ate, but only because they retained feelings of hunger, the stomach becoming like a phantom limb they could still feel in their spiritual bodies. Cyikidia hardly felt envious, from how their brother reacted to hunger pains, they could only assume it was a hassle and they wanted no part in it. But the ability to taste? That would've been nice.

Kouleia knew basically nothing about Feral, besides the fact that JJ didn't always seem to enjoy his company. He seemed aloof, but she was surprised he even noticed her daggers. Looking down at them she grinned, her daggers were truly a piece of art and she appreciated the fact that he noticed them. "This one," she held up, "was made by my brother. It was the first dagger he gave me when he thought I was ready to take care of myself." It had an intricated plant-like design woven into the handle, like vines slowly creeping up the hilt until it fans out and the blade of black metal protruded from it.

Putting the other one down, she grabs her second one, "This one I made with the help of Keerhei," this design was simpler but more practical and the hilt matched the colour of her eyes with emerald gemstones engraved in the handle.

"I will not get any other's unless I win them in battle," she said looking up at Feral finally, "Keerhei says that is the custom, eventually I would love to have four or six strapped to my thighs," she smirks, as she again begins to spin the blade between her fingers.

Feral hummed thoughtfully, "By 'win them in battle' you mean 'take them from the dead', right?"

He knew his take on pacifism lent to more of an extreme, and he understood those who had to kill - but the idea of killing for trophies or taking objects from the deceased had neither been a concept his clan had believed (despite being warriors themselves) or a custom he found very honorable.

It just felt cruel to further shit on the life you'd taken by stealing from their corpse. They couldn't consent to give you the weapon or anything. It was worse than robbing someone sleeping, because you'd already taken their life and were continuing to take from them for your own gain.

"I don't really get the custom, but do you." He shrugged, turning to leave. He had his animals to care for, after all, and by choosing pacifism, he also didn't wish to confront anyone on things he didn't personally agree with. It rarely changed their opinions and beliefs.

It wasn't often that someone would show up, only for it to be revealed that they lacked the proper documentation to be 'checked in'. But, it wasn't unexpected. No… Rather, it only meant that preparation for any individual who lacked those requirements would be getting a system all of their own.

Documentations will be made for that person… As it is needed to have some record for their safety.

All that will be asked, in turn, is to manually check in and out of the shelter with another person, to have fingerprints be the physical evidence of their whereabouts. After all… the homeless were easy prey and could be taken advantage of far more under the radar than anyone would like to admit or imagine.

The Crow's Nest, an independent shelter for the homeless and castaways of society. A likely name, due to the city's distaste of the abundance of crows in the streets… Seen as equal vermin and pests to the rats, for the crows became the stand-in to the growing endangerment of the pigeons.

And as far as the founder is concerned, the average person saw their homeless brethren equal to those pests. Simply because they treated them as such. Forgotten, kicked aside, and belittled. Which is why, it would be to no surprise that anyone, for that matter, would show up and lack their identification papers. The reasons could always be 'it's a long story', or, stripped away from them.

Questions like these didn't need to be asked unless the person mentioned it first. An unspoken rule to the work they do.

“Hey, thought I'd stop by- I was wondering if you would like this.”

A sunny voice chimes in, a slim young man with split chestnut hair smiles brightly to the other. In hand there is a carrier, and it seems to be filled with various foods, “I made some lunch—and I got some news about your pending papers. So, why not chat a little?”

Sitting next to Misha, Timothy opens the carrier and pulls out a cut sandwich and offers it to him.

“How are you hangin' up too, by the way? I hope everyone has been treating you well.”

It was the name that had drawn Misha to the shelter. Normally, he tried to remain separate from every subdivision in society (an old habit of distrusting everyone from his life before becoming a god), as he wasn't human enough to need safety in numbers, though he could admit it made things significantly easier.

But when he'd heard the name through whispers on the street, it had reminded him of a story that carefree fool of a god had told him about the abyss spirit who took the form of a large black bird, that protected within and through darkness. The foolish god who Misha carried the legacy of embedded in his soul had referred to that abyss spirit as a 'friend' of his.

In his current situation, Misha would take any good omen he could get, so the Crow's Nest was where he headed.

Maybe I should try following potential good omens more, identification sounds like it would've been a hassle to get on my own. Misha absently handled his small blade as he thought, mindlessly carved a bit of scrap aluminum from a soda can into the shape of a crow, creating little indents in the surface to create small details.

When Timothy approached, the blade ceased it's skillful fluttering, and when he was spoken to, he tilted his head to look up at him from under his hood.

He merely tipped his head in a nod to indicate that he would accept the offer of company, and flicked the blade closed, slipping it under his jacket and into an inner pocket. The carved metal crow remained in his hand.

"Doing alright, thanks." He murmured, taking the sandwich gratefully with his free hand and immediately bit into it. One of the annoying things about being an ex-mortal meant retaining the feelings of hunger and tiredness, all things his spirit-god brethren had mocked or teased him for as 'bad habits'. He may not need food, but not eating brought along feelings that could be distracting.

"Not really used to group living, but people here seem better than most." Perhaps a common goal and mutual understanding played a part.

Some crumbs of the sandwich he was scarfing down fell into his braid resting over his shoulder, a wooden charm of a tree the only thing offsetting the black of his hair was fastened to his hairtie.

He could probably ditch the hood at this point, since the wish had made him appear fully human. Not even a god would recognize him now, so he supposed hiding wasn't as necessary. So he pushed it back, allowing Timothy to see his face easily while they spoke.

After making quick work of his meal, he turned his attention to Timothy - though his gaze briefly flicked to the food carrier before quickly refocusing on his companion. "What's the news?"

The sound of her dagger hitting the target was music to her ears. It was late at night, and Kouleia was having trouble sleeping. Instead of being restless in bed, she thought it would be best to put some of that pent-up energy into practice.

It wasn't the first time that Kouleia visited JJ's homeland, but it was the first time that she was staying for an extended amount of time. Keerhei was off doing who knows what, so Kouleia was alone until she heard movement behind her. "I can hear you," she said, not turning her head as she flicked her dagger striking true again. At first, she thought it was Keerhei or JJ, but the sound was different. Turning her head she looked over her shoulder and saw Feral. She had just recently met him, but they never really had much time to really get to know one another. "Oh sorry. I thought you were my annoying brother or noisy best friend," she smirked. As she stood up and went and grabbed the daggers from the target so she could throw them again. "Am I disrturbing you?" she asked as she pulled the daggers out and turned around to look at him.

Feral's eyes were more reflective, like gold coins and predator-like rather than their usual honey gold, in the low lighting. "Nah, I was just on my way to my friends' place."

He walked past her target but stopped to glance at her daggers, "Did you make those yourself? The quality is pretty high."

He intended to only chat with her awhile and then be on his way, he didn't want to keep his 'friends' waiting too long - after all, they were the many various pets and wild animals he'd housed over the time he'd lived here. They were kept in a sanctuary space a little outside the city, and he checked in frequently to fill their food and entertain the more sociable of them. They had a few other caregivers, but he was the main one.

(A heads up, family drama and stuff is getting really bad right now, so I likely won't be able to be on here consistently for awhile. Just a lot of medical stuff and mental health stuff for a family member that I'm going to be responsible for is getting worse. I may appear sporadically, consider this a semi-hiatus as of now.)

She hadn't been expecting that, but soon found herself on the roof instead. Too tired to be irritated now, she followed behind them, wondering if she would be spotted at some point. Hatori was out of the way, but if Shigure happened to come visit --

A soft yearning grew in her heart. Even though she was thinking it would be a nuisance, she ate it up when they worried about her, when they doted on her. Kureno loyally stayed by her side, and Shigure...

She could only wish.

"Where are we going?"

They bounced her in their arms slightly, humming as a thoughtful frown crossed their lips. "I don't know..."

At the end of the roof, they didn't pause their steps, walking off the end but let gravity once more affect them and the person they were carrying, letting them both plummet a few feet before curling up protectively around Akito and floating once more. They mostly did it to see if Akito would panic or struggle or do something fun in reaction.

Then, as if they hadn't just tried to give her a heart attack, they smiled at her, "Oh! I know where we should go!"

And with that, the world around them both shimmered in a burst of multicolored lights, as colorful as their ever changing hair - though their grip on Akito tightened ever so slightly while the world changed, almost protectively.

They were now floating above a cruise ship, the sky above dark and starlit, and music drifting up from below a long distance them.

Cyikidia curled his body, so Akito could rest in his lap as they both floated downward, invisible to the people enjoying the temporary vibrancy of being alive beneath them.

He let them lower until his feet could uncurl and touch the deck, and then he set Akito on her feet but tucked her arm in his. "I've never been a cruise ship before, let's see what all the fuss is about."

My rp beloved bestie came into my dms with: "Imagine a supernatural creature that mimics the appearance of people's loved ones to mess with them for our ships?"

And I can't stop thinking of the absolute comedy and angst chaos such a thing would cause because:

Feral would invite it to a threesome with his partner, doesn't even hesitate. He can immediately tell it's a mimic because of his empath abilities and he knows the people who are normally around him's empathy auras by heart. But he thinks it must be lonely living as a mimic, so he'd offer it sex as an olive branch...and because he thinks it would be fun.

Hirael would also know right away because he senses souls and he would kill the mimic. Not even phased it looks and sounds like his girlfriend.

Smile is just an observant genius friend and boyfriend so he'd realize the mimic isn't his partner based off some minor observation and then proceeds to get excited at the prospect of being able to kill and eat someone who looks like his partner. Smile would also want to hunt and kill and eat the mimic even more when it's pretending to be himself.

JJ would realize it's a mimic also because he's smart but it probably takes him the longest because he's so insecure. But because he's a brat, he'd probably invite the mimic to make his bf jealous.

Petal's eyebrows shot up briefly, "Oh? I'm sure he'd like that!"

He glanced at Exel, to get his opinion without speaking, and watched his bodyguard give a faint nod.

"Yeah, he'd like that." Turning back to Kiwa, he smiled, continuing the conversation from earlier. "I'd love to have pets, but my schedule is usually too crazy with performances and shows. What made you pick ferrets specifically? I can't say I know much about them myself."

Exel fiddled with his lip piecing with his teeth absentmindedly as he glanced around the club, staying alert while keeping his attention on their conversation so if he was suddenly dragged into it by Petal he wouldn't appear rude.

He gets happy/interested whenever anyone shows interest in him, if they want to hang around him or be near him or talk to him, his dependency issues see them as someone to latch onto. So because of that he gets attached to people easily, but I don't necessarily know what makes him fall in love - because he can't really tell the difference.

Just trying to talk to him while he panics and stresses and avoids to the best his ability because he's super shy and scared of strangers and their judgment. That is how people can get close to him and get him attached.

Probably the fact he doesn't want his partner to leave his side ever, he's so scared whenever they leave the house without him that they'll find someone better and leave him. So he tends to not want his partner to leave the house either (he understands this isn't healthy, at least).

Someone who's fun/silly but also able to comfort him and doesn't actively try to stress him or scare him or blame him/get annoyed when he gets anxious.

Klea doesn't like his own dick for dysphoric reasons, and since Velvet seems scared of dick, he's fine with just never having his dick visible during sex. I don't think he'd change something just for Velvet's sake though, it would have to be something he's already insecure about. And he likely wouldn't have any surgeries to correct his body because surgery is scary and he's got enough anxiety as it is.

I went to a family gathering, forgot this relative had a cat, and got the joy of petting said cat.

But this cat's tail would immediately drop and begin thrashing with anger the second I pulled my hand away to stop petting him. Just, instant RAGE at not getting pets.

All I can think is Jjhemie cuddled up with a ship partner and they start to pull away from the cuddles and JJ's tail starts wagging angrily. JJ's partner being like "...Are you mad?" and JJ just ".....No..." trying to deny it despite his tail clearly showing otherwise.

Smile sent a little prayer in his head to his godly ancestors before sitting down next to her by the fire. The poor snails...They didn't deserve this indignity to be stewed up in a poorly seasoned dish.

"Did you just find these snails and decide to eat them or did you fast them before killing them?" His gaze was fixed on the pot, expression struggling to remain neutral and unbothered. He shouldn't be rude, maybe she had a...curious palate.

He briefly looked to the mushrooms and wasn't surprised at what she'd foraged - they weren't even all the same species but closely related and nearly identical ones, so he could understand the mistakes, and a few of the mushrooms in her collection appeared to be of the poisonous variety, unfortunately.

Well. He would deal with the snail issue first.

That caught her interest. "Muted? What do you mean?" She was unaware of this, from their conversation so far she had assumed that she held no significant powers of her own.

Then again, her body was horribly weak as it was. She likely couldn't handle the true powers of a God.

"Nevermind, if I had powers of that nature, it would probably be too much for my body." She sighed softly, mood dampened further as she was swept up and held.

"I'm tired," she admitted, allowing the holding. "My body is weak and sick. I was born this way and I grow tired easy."

Cyikidia tilted their head, "There's a god who could cure you of that."

But they didn't elaborate more - they didn't like talking about 'that god' more than necessary.

"Are you expecting me to carry you to your rooms like a servant for a princess? You shouldn't trust me so easily~" They teased before pulling Akito closer and bumped her forehead with their own, making her disappear from sight along with them - merely a temporary trick and hardly worth considering magic - then floated off the ground.

Kidi flew them up to the rooftop with a few bouncing steps, before letting their feet settle a few inches above the roof.

Humming under their breath, they began to walk, no destination in mind - if their walk got boring, they'd teleport themselves and Akito somewhere more fun. This place was starting to get boring anyway.

Life got busy, mostly because my physical and mental health is shit, I keep developing bad headaches, and my father's alcoholism has gotten worse and it's putting strain on the whole household.

The good news is I finally, after over a month off all my psychiatric meds, have finally got the pharmacy to fill my new prescription and started taking those 2 days ago.

Currently all I have the energy for is plotting/chatting about muses on discord and playing Twisted Wonderland and Genshin Impact, but hopefully the new meds will improve my social and rp energy levels.
