House Allyrion, Lords of Godsgrace, No Foe May Pass

House Allyrion is a major Dornish noble house, their seat Godsgrace sits near the confluence of the rivers the Scourge and the Vaith into the Greenblood. Their blazon is a golden hand on red and black and their words are No Foe May Pass.

Ser Daemon Sand, known as the Bastard of Godsgrace, is the bastard son of Ryon Allyrion, the heir of House Allyrion. He is one of Dorne’s finest swords, he was close friends with Arianne and took her maiden head when they were both 14, later Daemon asked Doran for Arianne’s hand and was refused. Daemon was part of the nobles and knights that accompanied Oberyn Martell to King’s Landing to take his place on the Small Council as had been negotiated by Oberyn’s brother. When Oberyn championed Tyrion’s cause, Ser Daemon served as his squire. Lady Delonne Allyrion is the Lady of Godsgrace and is the head of House Allyrion. and her son Ryon Allyrion (Daemon’s father) is her heir.

Dorne was the last of the Seven Kingdoms to swear fealty to the Iron Throne. Blood, custom, geography, and history all helped to set the Dornishmen apart from the other kingdoms. At the outbreak of the War of the Five Kings Dorne took no part, but when Myrcella Baratheon was betrothed to Prince Trystane, Sunspear declared its support for King Joffrey. ↳ Dorne is definitely influenced a bit by Spain, a bit by Wales. But nothing is one and one. I took that together. Dorne is a very special land, with a slightly different cultural basis than the rest of Westeros…it was politically apart for a long time, it was also culturally apart because of the Rhoynar and the traditions they brought, but they didn’t influence the rest of Westeros so much. So the dornish have their own particular sort of customs. I see that in Spain with the whole history, particularly the Moorish history of Spain, you know…it really sets it apart from France.
